You are taking the apocalyptic version as you did in the Thai tax thread/CRS..........which has yet to come to pass..........

 

I don't doubt that it will get like that long term but unlikely I suggest in the next 5-10 years. If it captures a few who illegally claim increases/benefits due to location then they knew the risks. Nothing burger for most especially the OP............

Try looking at it from the perspective of money sent to banks with a transfer code that contains the letters  " DWP " which covers State Pensions. Rather than an attack on State Pensions / Pensioners.

 

If you are unsure of what I am talking about. Simply go into your bank and ask for an annual printout. Identify your State Pension payment and check the transfer code. It will contain the letters DWP and some digits.

 

All bank accounts that receive these types of payments will be monitored for evidence of Fraud / Theft of Public money.

1) no direct debits

2) no payments to utility services

3) no payments to council taxes

4) accounts that don't have weekly withdrawls

5) accounts that have no atm withdrawls

software algorithm can be run daily, weekly or monthly

I don't get any money from the DWP, neither am I old enough to claim the State Pension.
