Police in Phetchaburi are investigating the mysterious death of a 55-year-old woman from Buriram, whose body was discovered by the roadside three days after she left the home of a well-known social media influencer.

The deceased, identified as Ms Nuanjan, was found at around 12.30 on 24 August in thick grass along the Ban Lat–Pho Rieang road in Moo 8, Tha Chang subdistrict, Ban Lat district.

She was dressed in a short-sleeved shirt and black trousers. A black rope was found looped around her neck. Police estimate she had been dead for approximately one day before her body was discovered.

Officers from Ban Lat Police Station, together with forensic specialists and doctors from Ban Lat Hospital, were called to the scene. The Sawang Sanphet Dhammasathan Foundation also provided assistance.

According to her daughter, Ms Nuanjan had been staying at the home of “Mor Pla”, a prominent influencer known for his outspoken online presence. She reportedly walked away from the property three days earlier and failed to return, prompting a search.

Her disappearance ended with the discovery of her body just a short distance from the influencer’s residence.

Police are now working to determine the cause of death, investigating whether it was suicide or foul play, given the rope found around her neck.

An autopsy is being carried out to establish the exact circumstances.
