Just ignore the headlines or posters that don't interest you.

 

I go through about 6-12 hrs of new content in about 5 mins, with my morning coffee.  I'll open any threads that interest me, in a new tab, then continue scrolling thru all the crap.  Come back and reply to the tabs open, maybe.

 

It's a business site, more traffic means more money

As stated above, I go thru 6+ hrs of new content.  Actually took notice how long it took, and all of 5 mins.  Scanned the topics, and same ol' BS, nothing of interest.  Did open the CN/MG thread, no surprise, and nothing new.

 

That was overnight content, 2330-0615, so no surprise.   But caught up.  Might chime back in, in maybe a few hours, and ignore the drivel from the deranged & trolls.  

 

Maybe a movie, EV, solar or health topic might get opened, or photo, food topic.  The rest, just noise I'll ignore.

 

That's pretty much my AN experience.

Unlike you,  I actually live in Thailand. I've been here for 15 years. The house I  designed and built has A/C in the bedrooms, but they never get turned on, fans suffice.

1.  15 years?  You think that’s an accomplishment?  Bragging rights?  For losers perhaps who have  burnt their bridges to live the  “so called “ dream.  But for many the dream doesn’t exist.  Ask the homeless Iranian meandering around the streets of Pattaya begging for a meal.   As bad as @JakeC mooching and borrowing off TG because he’s broke/skint.

 

Much prefer maintaining 3 residences , 8/9 months Thailand, 3/4 months home country.  Summer in Cali is nice compared to the monsoon season in Thailand.

What reference of religion was made in any of our banter???

Not that it matters or makes a difference, raised Catholic.

I mentioned where and the length of my current residency to debunk your idiot scenario about me being in Darwin. How long I've lived here is not a bragging matter just a physical fact. I know expats who have been here for more than 40 years.

 

I sold my home and possessions in Perth when I decided I wanted a different lifestyle after I retired. I didn't feel the need to keep a bolthole if failure elsewhere was a factor. I actually prefer the green (monsoon) season in Thailand.

It transpired to be a very good financial decision to sell as I bought a pool villa in Phuket for about 1/3 of the money I gained helped by  a high XE. 

I recently sold the Phuket villa for a reasonable profit and we now own just 3 houses and abouut 28 rai of farming property in Isaan.

I decided the whole god thing was a hoax when still in primary school and live my life as a free thinking athiest.
