Let’s review in chronological order, WW1 was started by the Austria-Hungarian empire backed by the German one decided to declare war on Serbia triggering the Great War due to the complex alliances existing at the time forcing Russia, France and Britain into the conflict.

WW2 was started by the Germans when they thought conquering all of Europe was feasible and exterminating the Slavs for their Lebensraum was doable.

The current coalition of the willing has the French, the Brits and the Germans.

Seems that the only repeating pattern in wars of significant scale are the Germans and the yapping Baltics. We should offer one to Putin as a price for peace in our time.
