Absolutely incorrect.

Ideally you should do cardio + strength training.

Lifting weights will help you maintain your muscles as you age and build strength.

Do some research, and you will understand.

To be a muscled monkey man, it takes a lot of hard work, yes a lot.

Sorry, what is trt? I agree on squats but to pass 100 kilos deadlift I needed to start doing them as my ties did not cooperate over a 100kg! But I am getting there! 110 now and putting on 5 kilos a month! As I love motorcycles and have been on them for over 50 years I just need to keep tn top shape to manage them on Thai Highways! They are NOT for the weak and frail!! LOL!!😂 I have not time to slow down....yet!

I hope Im there in 16 yeas and hopefully not at my homegym alone anymore, and have moved on to the city, but who knows. If am still fit for fight, I might still be working at our farm, and still be happy with the life there.

Anyway, my plan is to build my own public gym, so I might still stay a few years more if health is good.

Sounds good! Our health is whats matter! No health no life! 😄

TBH... I do my workouts not to live longer, but to be self-reliant until I knock off.

Live longer can be one bi effect of working out and healthy lifestyle, but no guarantee

We are in the process of creating a fitness/work out space at home.

I build some stuff myself and this week we bought this multi station.

It is very nice and no more need to go out and wait for other people to get on a machine.

There's a few near me 1,000 a month, and 7,000.a year...

Jomtien, soi 3, Hard Body Gym, 6000 for one year. 85 per day, also weekly and monthly rates. I guess it is the cheapest in Pattaya.
No aircon, old stuff, 1 treadmill, 2 standing bicycles, elliptical.

It works for me.

Of course they also got all the weight stuff, including leg press and leg extension.

I moved to South Jomtien and found a decent gym attached to a hotel. Very basic equipment but enough free weights, flat/incline bench, and straight bar for me to get my weightlifting in.

I talked a friend into joining as they had a buddy deal for 5,000 baht per year.

He had been a member of Jetts which was crazy expensive at 18,000 baht a year!

The majority of hotel/condo gyms are worthless.

Mine has one.  I still pay for a better gym

The majority of hotel/condo gyms are worthless.

That depends on each individuals capacity and target. Most condo gyms are more than enough for the average person to maintain his/her regular keep fit health schedule/workouts.

This type of gym is all that is required for all retirees in Thailand.

The gym in the condo I use is great quality, it's high end, sturdy and practical, it's not for body builders

I see some Airbnb guys using the gym, breaking the equipment.

It's not a professional gym, it's perfect for middle aged/elderly guys.

It's a shame these neanderthal, young guys are damaging the equipment.

Why do you need a gym at all?

To pose in front of your gay friends?

I was going to give you a thumbs-up but he would probably sit on that.

Strength makes you live longer and protects your joints. Who wants to be weak?

I agree.

If I want to pose in front of a homosexual, I’ll just show up at your place.

If you can afford me.

Now we know your sexual preferences are for sale, all we need to do is negotiate a price.

I finding the gyms here comparable or even more expensive than in Australia!

why and how much does your gym charge ?

My favourite gym is Elite gym

They are also more expensive than in the UK.

Gyms in the UK can be had for as little as £15~18 per month and everything will work.

The last gym I visited in Pattaya charged 1000 per month.   Almost nothing worked.   The exercise bike had a computer that would reset the moment you stopped pedalling, the showers didn't work and everything else was in a poor state.    Naturally I only paid to check it out for one day, not the month.

Low cost gym chains are doing well in the UK and the rest of Europe.    With lower labour and overhead costs, where is the professional Thai low cost chain ?

I agree

There are good gyms in Pattaya but expensive compared to Australia and UK

Muscle factory is expensive no air con
