USA Trump Signals Move to Phase 2 Sanctions Over Russia-Ukraine War

US President Donald Trump has announced plans to intensify sanctions against Russia due to stalled peace negotiations aimed at ending the conflict in Ukraine. When questioned by a journalist about advancing to Phase 2 of the sanctions, Trump confidently replied, "Yes, I am," signalling his readiness to escalate measures.

 

Trump has faced criticism for perceived inaction against Russia, particularly as Russian drone attacks on Ukraine persist. He countered by highlighting his imposition of tariffs on India for purchasing Russian oil, branding it as the initial step in his sanctions strategy.

 

Trump stated this action alone cost Russia hundreds of billions in revenue, hinting that subsequent phases could be even more impactful, reported THE HILL.

 

Efforts to mediate peace are sputtering, with Trump having attempted to coordinate a meeting between Russian President Vladimir Putin and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky. Despite these initiatives, little progress has been made, underscoring the ongoing tension in Eastern Europe.

Enough of sanctions: load up Ukraine with military good stuff and let them drop a missile on the Kremlin. Tit for tat.

I believe in treating Russia gently, but first you have to get their attention.

Not helping Ukraine INCREASES the chance of nuclear war. Why? Russia will NOT stop. Duh. 

I think his primary motivation in sucking up to his idol Putin is that Trump craves love from Putin and all other authoritarian strong men dictators because that's how Trump imagines himself to be (though obviously a weak tea one comparably). 

Trump is on the SIDE of Russia. He is HELPING Russia. He WANTS Russia to win. Not Ukraine. Also of course he deeply despises Zelinskyy on a personal level.

He does some dances to mask that as he knows the harsh reality of that freaks out so many people, but that's the reality.

Trump has yet to impose any direct sanctions on Russia since inauguration. He is only maintaining sanctions and executive orders on Russia imposed by Biden. Not negative but only proof and facts that Trump is weak and evasive compare to Biden.

Russia is making good money with it's partnerships within the BRICS+ nation alliances.

 

Third party nations, who do not apply any of the European or US sanctions against Russia.

 

These countries buy the cheap russian oil, refine it and sell it back at 3 or 4 times the price to the foolish European and other western nations who have abided to Biden's and Trumps embargos against the highly cheap russian energy. 

 

Ultimately it's not all that much Russia who is suffering but definately the european and western nations.
