EU Commission halts payments to Israel over conduct in Gaza

The European Commission is suspending all payments to Israel over the country's conduct in the Gaza Strip, President Ursula von der Leyen said on Wednesday.

"We will put our bilateral support to Israel on hold. We will stop all payments in these areas without affecting our work with civil society or [Holocaust memorial] Yad Vashem," she said in a speech to the European Parliament in Strasbourg.

She added: "We will propose sanctions on the extremist ministers and on violent settlers."

"Man-made famine can never be a weapon of war. For the sake of the children, for the sake of humanity, this must stop. ... what is happening in Gaza is unacceptable and ... Europe must lead the way just as it has done before," she said

He'll just call them Antisemitic   supporters of Hamas and continue his war crimes.

I`d like to shout in Ursula von der Genocide`s face: "What took you so long, you hideous snake?"

Better late than never but one has to ask himself

how many Palestinians had to die

how many children had to be killed by snipers

how many medics and aid workers had to be assassinated

how many journalists had to be murdered

how many hospitals, schools, and other buildings had to be flattened

how many Gazans had to starve

how many Palestinians in the West Bank had to be brutalized and removed from their property

... before the European Commission finally woke up to realize ...

that Israel was not really only defending itself but committing mass murder and land theft.

that Israel is the reason for the remaining hostages not being freed

- as it broke the ceasefire almost every day since its beginning on January 19

- as it violated the agreement by not withdrawing from the Philadelphi corridor

- as it restarted the war on 18 March 2025 by launching surprise airstrikes on Gaza

and all that happened in plain sight.
