Dear Folks,

 

During most of this afternoon, I have been trying to set up a mobile banking app here in Thailand.

 

Everything seemed fine…

 

UNTIL, that is, the phone app asked me to scan my face.

 

I admit that I am ugly.

 

But, just HOW ugly does one need to be…in order to get….

REJECTED by the Banking App for UGLINESS?

 

Then, the phone app tells me:

 

Do you want to try it again, and again?

 

What to do?

 

I cannot change my face, can I?

 

Maybe my face is not Asian?

Yes, that must be it…!!!

 

I think these Banking App Face scanners must be tuned to the Asian face.

My face is a Farang face.

 

Obviously, I don’t look like the NORM, here in Thailand.

And, this must be what is confusing the Banking App Face Scanner.

 

Or, is it just my basic facial ugliness?

 

In fact, my face could put even Balzac to shame....

 

BUT, is this any reason to not give me the same Mobile Banking Service that beautiful people seem to always get…with their….

 

Almost PERFECTLY SYMMETRICAL grins, with their ultra-brite pearly whites, gleaming at the camera?

 

We ugly people are the true underclass.

 

And, I know that most of you know what I am talking about.

Important Note:  The problem might have been caused by the ugly background, and not me. Who knows….?

 

Final Note:  This might be the last straw for me. And, it’s liable to put me off mobile banking for good, or….until I beautify myself, a bit…..

It's probably not because you are ugly.

 

It's more likely your hand is shaking so much the camera cannot focus properly for the required time.

 

I will refrain from speculating on what might cause your hand to shake.

 

However, I do note you claim to be celibate. You could try getting laid.

You did not say you were using a tripod. Perhaps you shake your head too much, with what goes on in the world.

 

Be that as it may, a new forex company required a facial scan from me a couple of days ago. No problem, first try.

 

I used to be handsome, but it's very rare for any male to remain that way in old age.

In my view, the reason for my problem is not my ugliness, but.....substandard facial recognition software being used.....

 

Here are some of the market leaders.....

 

 

As the old saying goes....

So, they will not tell you if they might be cutting corners just to use a lesser facial recognition product which causes us pain,....or....

Note:  My guess is that CHINA leads the pack, these day, in facial recognition software .....

It’s prolly your long blond wig, the pink lipstick, and the purple eye shadow throwing the face scanner off. All those collagen injections in your lips, plus your excessive Botox everywhere else, really aren’t helping either.
 

Have you considered scanning your arseholio instead? You might actually have better luck with that, since it more closely resembles your face before all the plastic surgery. But don’t take it the wrong way, Gamma, some people just have a bung that’s more photogenic than their face, and yours may yet be your greatest natural gift.

Don't feel discouraged. You just need to switch to a farang-friendly Thai bank that caters to those with really small todgers account balances. I heard Bangkok Bank is the most farang friendly bank these days. Make the switch ASAP and thank me later.

NOBODY is going to believe this...but...nevertheless....

It's true.

 

a.  I tried about 10 times to get the Banking App working, but always got stuck with the photo scan part.

 

b. Finally, after undue exasperation, I donned my Old School blazer with school tie....

 

c. It worked like a charm.....!!!!

 

Now.....

 

i am IN.....I have Mobil Banking Access...in fact....!!!!

 

I am so happy.

This has taken up 95% of my day, today.

 

d. I could NOT have done this without the significant support of THAIVISA (TV),  the best forum in the world, or, at least, in Thailand, full of friends who always have my back.

 

e.  Also, someone here asked for my photo of me.  But, even better, here is me back in the day, relaxing outside my old school.....ENJOY.....

And, I think we need to fire the groundskeeper....because....
