The family of Phawinee “Kae” Kortaisong is calling for an investigation after her remains were identified following a 12-year search. Kae's skeleton was discovered in Bangkok's Lat Krabang district, with a DNA test confirming her identity. Her parents are pushing for answers about her suspected murder.

Phawinee Kortaisong disappeared in 2013 at 23 after moving to Chon Buri for work, becoming unreachable for her family. Her father found her belongings intact at her rented room when he searched for her. Despite questioning her boyfriend and a colleague, there were no leads on her whereabouts.

Her family involved the Mirror Foundation, which conducted DNA tests against unidentified remains in several provinces without success. Persistence paid off when national DNA records were improved, revealing her remains were found in 2014 in Lat Krabang.

Authorities now suspect foul play in Kae's death, leading her parents to demand further investigation. They hope renewed efforts will uncover the truth and deliver justice.

Key Takeaways

  • Kae Kortaisong vanished in 2013; her remains are now identified.
