Senior law enforcement officials from the United States, Thailand, and Laos met in Bangkok on 23–24 September 2025 to strengthen cooperation against transnational crime. The two-day trilateral summit aimed to enhance joint efforts against human trafficking, child exploitation, drug and weapons smuggling and cyberscams affecting Southeast Asia. Officials agreed to improve communication and enforcement strategies to tackle these cross-border threats.

Police have arrested a 23-year-old Russian man, Mr Georgii, suspected of engaging in a sexual act at the rear of a black pickup truck. The arrest took place at Suvarnabhumi Airport on 25 September 2025 at 15:45 and the suspect was taken back to Phuket for further legal proceedings.

Apple Watch Alerts Rescuers as Kayaker Saved off Pattaya

A 24-year-old man was rescued after his kayak capsized in rough seas off Pattaya on the night of 25 September. The alert was raised at 23:00 when the Maritime Disaster Prevention Radio Centre received a distress signal indicating someone was struggling in the water. Rescue teams from the Sawang Boriboon Foundation responded quickly and found the man clinging to his overturned kayak along with his belongings.

A 31-year-old man was killed in a fatal road crash when a pickup truck crashed into his motorcycle in Buriram on 25 September 2025. The collision occurred on Highway 24, Chok Chai–Det Udom Road, inbound to Nang Rong District, about 800 metres before Wat Khun Kong. Bangkok Police Probe Death of Man Found Mutilated Under Bridge

Police launched an investigation after the body of a 72-year-old man was found in two parts beneath a bridge in Thung Khru district, Bangkok, on 25 September. Officers were called to the scene at 18:00, following reports of a corpse near Soi Pracha Uthit 90, under the Ya Saeng canal bridge. The remains, later identified as Mr Chusak, were in an advanced state of decomposition with some internal organs missing.

The victim was identified as 43-year-old Naphat Thonphichayaphon, formerly known as Sub Lt Madahari Kamala, a former Royal Thai Marine based at Chulabhorn Camp.
