DTAC has stopped to catch signal in Colombia

Featured Replies

DTAC sim, many years old, the roaming is enabled . It's worked in some of the countries of South America well.

In Colombia:

  * In Bogota - worked; meaning, it was catching signal each time I'd turn it on;

  * in other, non small, city - it worked ONCE - caught signal; even an SMS "welcome to ..." arrived.

But then, the next day or so, it stopped. It won't catch a signal at all. One of the operators of the networks, when selected attempting to select one manually, is marked as "prohibited". None will accept a request.

What the fисking WTF? It's the same city of the same country still.  Even the same hotel.

---

I use it only to receive sms; not for data.

Or could it be DTAC has just required re-verification from me? My passport I used for it expired half a year ago.

Now each time it'll catch a signal for a few minutes and then get offline. None of *<something># functions. VoLTE also has stopped from appearing.  Fискing wft.

Russian keyboard eh?

I don't know if +66 2202 8100 is still a free call from abroad, but since you don't have a signal, you won't be able to call anyway.

FYI DTAC uses Claro and only Claro. VoLTE doesn't work with them. https://www.dtac.co.th/en/roaming/rate/col/

Not the Russian one, mate. Putin's keyboard.

How VoLTE was available during the first month or so then? The sign was present whilst in the airplain mode, and I even turned  the airplain mode off sometimes.

Kasikorn recently has disabled me some functions - facial verification required. This may be related

If on Aeroplane Mode, you weren't using Claro. I don't know about your story of turning Aeroplane Mode off.

Have you contacted DTAC? Perhaps since they are linked with TRUE there are more network options.

I didn't claim that I was using Claro in the Airplain mode.

And correct -  you know about my story of turning Aeroplane Mode off.
