Did anybody receive their monthly ss deposit directly to their bank in Thailand today?

 

I still have not and use Bangkok Bank. I usually get it by now. Thanks

I have not rec'd mine either. I'm also at Bangkok Bank and usually have mine by now.

Thanks for your reply. I did check myssa account to make sure it was sent, and they said it was paid.

It looks like a Bangkok Bank problem that I hope is resolved soon. Thanks again

I just checked my SSA account and it also shows that payment was made. TIT, welcome to BBK!!

I've got SCB.  Nothing showed up yet.  Be aware that there is a holiday of some sort according to my wife's Thai calendar which may be causing delays.  

Is it that time already.  Man how time flies.  Another month, another 'It's not here yet' thread.

 

We know who lives month to month.  At least give it till the 5th or 6pm today.  It really is consistent on the 3rd and can count on my hands how many times in the past 5 yrs or so, it didn't arrive on the 3rd.

 

Now you made me look, even though I won't withdraw it for a few months, next year

Oh stop ... a little humor at the expense of an AN member's posting.   Buddha forbid.   Doubt if he is that less fortunate, as here in TH with the rest of us lost souls.   Maybe just concerned the 'shut down' may have an effect.

 

It won't, as disbursement are on auto pilot, and separate accounts of what the 535 idiots are fighting over.

To be honest, I've seen the SSA checks deposited as late as the 7th of the month.  It is usually caused by either a holiday in the US, or a holiday in Thailand.  I wait until the 7th before I get concerned, but up to now I've always gotten the deposit by the 7th.  So as others have said, relax.  It's just a matter of time.  Look on Thai and US calendars to see if there are any holidays, and don't worry until after the 7th - then drop Manila an email.

I just did my visa extension, and cleaned of a file of useless papers ... being old credit advices.  Peeking before trashing, it really is consistent on the 3rd, so unless a holiday or weekend, I wouldn't get concerned, especially if not here on the 3rd.

You're obviously not in dire straight, asking about Sunday roast & sushi restaurants in Old Town Phuket.   

 

Can afford Electrolux appliances, and drink beer while playing in your rock garden.

 

Guilt complex wouldn't work on me anyway, nice try though

You obviously have me confused with somebody else.

I never asked about Sunday roast and sushi restaurants in Old Town Phuket.

I have never bought an Electrolux appliance or drank beer my entire life. (I know, right? but true). No rock garden as well.

 

I don't mind humor at all, but not at the expense of someone who has either money problems and/or health problems.  Very sensitive to these.

 

Anyway, it's all good. Take care, have fun and enjoy life. PS-Never try to give you a guilt complex, everyone is free to feel the way they want.

For years, I mostly received my SSA on the 4th (and that could swing into several more days if the 4th was a weekend and there was a Thai holiday on Monday), but I'm now getting payments on every 3rd (or earlier if the 3rd is on a weekend or holiday), usually in the morning to mid day. Bangkok Bank changed how they were processing things and it has apparently speeded things up. But I still get a little twitch if things might be delayed, especially after all the trouble surrounding the 7162s this year. Still have to sweat that out for upcoming January and February.

mine use to arrive around lunch im a fouth Wednesday payee I have seen it at 10:30 now.

 

Assuming April was also on the 3rd, or earlier, as someone posted about their DD on the 3rd ...
