A 36-year-old man was killed early on 11 October after losing control of his motorcycle and crashing into a bridge railing in Roi Et province. The impact threw him off the bridge into a ravine below, where he was found dead at the scene. Rescue workers used ropes to retrieve his body from beneath the bridge.

The incident occurred at around 03:00, on the bridge crossing Huai stream along the Nong Na Tho–Akkhakham Road in Akkhakham subdistrict, Pho Chai district, Roi Et. Local rescue units from Asok Foundation received a call from Pho Chai Police Station reporting the crash. A rapid response team arrived at the site with Pol. Lt. Col. Yutthaphon Kamnonngiew, an investigator from Pho Chai Police Station.

At the scene, officers found a Yamaha motorcycle lying on the bridge and the victim’s body below. The deceased, a 36-year-old resident of Ban Nong Saeng village in Bua Kham subdistrict, Pho Chai district, was confirmed dead at the scene. Medical staff from Pho Chai Hospital examined the body and confirmed fatal injuries consistent with the fall.

Relatives were notified and came to the scene. They told police they did not suspect foul play or any external cause in the crash.Rescue workers later transported the victim’s body back to his hometown for religious rites as requested by his family.

Authorities have not found evidence of another vehicle’s involvement. Police believe the motorcyclist may have lost control due to excessive speed or drowsiness, given the late-night timing and road conditions. No further investigation has been announced at this stage.
