A German couple sustained head injuries after an intruder broke into their Khao Lak,  Phang Nga province, home in the early hours of October 11, 2025. The assailant entered through the roof and attacked the homeowners with a liquor bottle before fleeing. Both victims were treated for head lacerations at Khao Lak Medical Center.

Police Lt. Col. Jaran Srirak of Khao Lak Police Station received a report at approximately 02:00 of a burglary and assault at a house in Soi Khao Wong, Moo 3, Khuekkhak subdistrict, Takua Pa district, Phang Nga province. Officers found a liquor bottle and blood spatter on the bed and bedroom floor, indicating the violent nature of the attack. Investigators determined that the intruder removed a roof tile at the rear of the property and descended through a ceiling panel in the kitchen.

The victims, German nationals Mr. Thomas, 61 and Mrs. Beate, 58, told police that the attack occurred, while they were asleep. They reported only seeing the assailant from behind as he fled through the kitchen window toward the rear of the house. The couple guided investigators through the home, showing the attack site and the escape route used by the intruder.

Police Lt. Col. Jaran to, charge of the investigation and called Phang Nga Provincial Forensic Officers to examine the scene for DNA, fingerprints and other physical evidence. The case is being overseen by Police Lt. Col. Sommot Saengsawat, Deputy Superintendent of Investigation at Khao Lak Police Station. Authorities are actively working to identify and apprehend the suspect.

Investigators are reviewing the crime scene and forensic findings to build a profile of the intruder. The police have not released any further details or whether the incident is linked to other burglaries in the area. The public is urged to report any suspicious activity to Khao Lak Police Station.
