Heavy rain and gust in western coast of the South and thundershowers nationwide

The Meteorological Department reported today (August 15th) at 04:00 hours that a moderate southwest monsoon still prevails over Thailand, the Andaman Sea, and the Gulf of Thailand. Thundershowers are likely over the country while isolated heavy rain and gust can be expected in the western coast of the South.

At the same time, Bangkok metropolis and vicinity will likely experience scattered thundershowers mostly in the afternoon to evening. The minimum temperature will be 27 degrees Celsius while the maximum temperature will be 36 degrees Celsius. The speed of southwesterly winds will be around 10 to 30 kilometers per hour.

Meteorological Dept. says more rain in the country

The Meteorological Department reported today at 04:00 hours that a southwest monsoon over the Andaman Sea, Thailand and the Gulf is intensifying and an active low pressure cell is covering the upper South China Sea. More thundershowers and isolated heavy rain are likely over the country. People in the eastern part of northern and northeastern Thailand should beware of flooding conditions during this period. Wave height of about 2 meters is likely in the Andaman Sea.

Meanwhile, Bangkok metropolis and vicinity will likely encounter scattered thundershowers. The minimum temperature will be 26 degrees Celsius while the maximum temperature will be 35 degrees Celsius. The speed of southwesterly winds will be around 15 to 30 kilometers per hour.
