Yes, there is collateral damage, and yes it is horrible. And yes, it does account for far too many dead in Gaza.

 

Yet...

 

What happened on October 7 had nothing to do with collateral damage. Civilians were the sole target of Hamas. There was NO attempt to mitigate civilian losses. Rather, the attempt was to MULTIPLY civilian losses, even at the expense of targeting what might be considered "legitimate" targets like IDF bases. The intent is the key.  The intent of Hamas was terror, plain and simple.

 

"Collateral damage" does NOT include kidnapping rape victims and taking them as war booty back to your home, to continue their assault and eventually murder.

So about a third were security forces.

I've never denied for one second that there is criminal activity among Israeli tourists and expats in Thailand.
