Vera Kravtsova, 26, originally from Belarus , flew to Bangkok to secure what she believed would be a modelling job

A 26-year-old Belarusian woman, Vera Kravtsova, was reportedly lured to Thailand with the promise of a modelling job — only to be trafficked across the border to Myanmar, enslaved in a cyber-scam compound, and later killed for her organs.

According to Russian outlet Mash, Kravtsova believed she was traveling to Bangkok for a legitimate opportunity, but instead was taken to a “scam centre” in Myanmar’s lawless border zone, where criminal gangs and militias force victims to extort money from online targets. The operations are allegedly run by Chinese syndicates and elements of the Myanmar junta, with an estimated 100,000 captives trapped in such facilities.

Reports claim Kravtsova was forced to pose as a glamorous “model” to deceive wealthy victims on dating platforms. When she stopped generating money, communication ceased. Her family was then told she was dead — and that her body had been cremated after being sold for organs, unless they paid a $500,000 ransom.

Another victim, Dashinima Ochirnimayeva, 24, from Siberia, was rescued from a similar camp through Russian diplomatic intervention. She had also been tricked by a fake modelling offer, smuggled into Myanmar, and slated for sale.

Survivors describe these centres as brutal “slave camps” where those who resist are whipped, starved, or threatened with organ harvesting. “Slavic and European women are preferred,” one account said, “used to scam men via video calls, while Asians are beaten and kept for labor.”

Kravtsova’s death has renewed calls for international action against the human-trafficking syndicates operating freely along the Thai-Myanmar border, where corruption, poverty, and war have created a global hub for forced online fraud and organ trafficking.

Key Takeaways:

  1. Belarusian model Vera Kravtsova was killed after being trafficked to Myanmar.

  2. She was enslaved in a scam compound and reportedly sold for organ harvesting.

  3. Chinese and Burmese gangs run similar camps exploiting thousands across Asia.

Come on.

If it's well known that these massive facilities exist, why don't countries send their drones in there to wipe these militias off the map. They can't be that hard to pin down.

And kill all the victims inside.

Oh OK I misunderstood. Maybe they should ask Don to drop some of those Ninja missles, you know, the one that chops you up into little pieces?

I think because either relevant government officials are being paid off i.e. selling them electricity and internet, or because China will find a way to get you back.

Hard to believe a criminal enterprise would go to the trouble of tricking foreigners into traveling to Myanmar to steal their wurlitzers.

Not when there are hundreds of thousands of available donors in the immediate area who could disappear without a trace with no attention from international media.

Epock Times?

this is shocking to say the least

They are very hard to find when you keep your eyes closed.

One was from Belarus which doesn't have an embassy in TH
Another one was from Siberia (where is it?) which somehow was released with RU diplomatic assistance

And - $500K doesn't even look serious ransom.

Looks like a made-up story

Most likely that model met wrong "friends" from her field of work and vanished. Simple as that. So many stories about wannabee models, so many!

And to whom are these organs sold, exactly? They need to be used immediately after extraction. Follow the money...
