I think the Russians have caused problems over using this legalised loophole also.

With the Gaza Genocide and the Ukraine invasion many are wanting to get themselves, their money and their families out of Israel and Russia.

 

They are both quite restricted to where they can actually travel to.

Thailand allowed them in but it now appears some are taking the piss.

 

It will be interesting to see how it all unfolds, there will many who will lose money in the crossfire I fear.

Good point, Russians are an obvious issue as well.

 

Judging by how Shinawatra and Anutin handled it when Anutin was Minister of the Interior, and he travelled to Pai, and just declared "no action required, all exaggerated"., it's probably unlikely anything will be done unless Bangkok suffers similar issues.

 

I guess Thais do not have access to English language resources, to comprehend what problems Russians and Israelis, and often Russian-Israelis, really represent. The extent to which they are involved in crime, and their monies derive from criminal activity.
