In the last day or 2 Win 10 navigator comes up on everything I want to open, and I can't find anyway to get rid of it.

Perhaps you should brush up on some basic skills for when you need help. Like how to produce screenshots and to post them here.

That will make it easier for someone to understand and to help you with your issues.

What is it - an app or program for what as I don't have it?

Or is it this -

There are some videos available if you want do a search, though it seems as though you need to use File Explorer to make it work.

To be honest I can't find it in any MS app but it seems as though it does exist. I found out enough about it when I did a search, but not enough to identify it and delete it.

I managed to switch it off by closing it, but I had to use a 30 times magnifying glass close to the screen to see the X which was not highlighted in red as usual.

I agree with you, and I used to do that, but it was a long rime ago and I have forgotten how to do it now.

Depends on your keyboard and also Browser. But a universal option is Fn + PrntScrn, then to open Paint, and chose Paste or Ctrl + V and then Save

Alternatively, you can use an Extension: https://chromewebstore.google.com/detail/gofullpage-full-page-scre/fdpohaocaechififmbbbbbknoalclacl
