A dispute between an Indian tourist and a club manager in Pattaya has come to a peaceful conclusion after both parties agreed to withdraw their complaints and reconcile. The incident, which initially involved allegations of assault and threats with what appeared to be a firearm, was later revealed to be a misunderstanding involving a lighter shaped like a gun.

The case began when Mr Rohit, a 33-year-old Indian tourist, filed a police complaint with Pattaya City Police Station, claiming he had been attacked and threatened by security guards and the manager of the popular Boss Club on Walking Street, South Pattaya. The incident occurred at around 04.30 on 26 September, reportedly following a dispute over payment for drinks and a necklace that was allegedly not returned.

Developments on 21 October 2025 saw progress when Mr Aniruch Kongsap, the club’s legal representative, brought Mr Bittu Vishal, a 35-year-old Indian national and general manager of Boss Club, to provide additional testimony. Mr Bittu maintained his innocence, asserting that the event stemmed from confusion rather than violence. Earlier, on 1 October, he had handed over the imitation firearm, a lighter designed to look like a pistol, to police for examination.

During the latest meeting at the police station, both men sat down with officers to discuss the issue openly. Through an interpreter, Mr Rohit admitted that he had been intoxicated at the time and had mistaken the lighter for a real gun, leading to panic and confrontation. Mr Bittu reiterated that there was no intention to cause harm, adding that the situation had escalated due to miscommunication between acquaintances.

Following the discussion, the two men embraced and posed together for photos, forming a “mini heart” gesture in front of the media to symbolise renewed friendship. Both parties confirmed they would withdraw all legal complaints and not pursue any further action.

Police expressed satisfaction that the matter had been resolved amicably, avoiding further legal complications. The reconciliation serves as a reminder of the importance of clear communication in resolving conflicts involving foreign visitors and local establishments in Pattaya’s nightlife scene.

Ah so carrying a lighter shaped gun is now ok? that other Indian was arrested in Bangkok for that

Pattaya bouncers getting away with it again.

What's new, nothing. :coffee1:

Of course there are the rowdy tourists and other scumbags from all over the world who love Thailand and it's sex trade...but one must admit that the bouncers in Pattaya are heavy handed and regularly on the line of the law. Not surprising why foreigner numbers are falling in Thailand...

Just playing pass the envelope

I'm so happy this got resolved peacefully.

Was worried sick about these guys for the past few weeks.

There is no need for violence people.

Ah, the old misunderstanding routine to avoid prosecutions.  Blessed are the peacemakers in brown.
