hi all

well just to update you all as my appeal deadline was fast approaching my wife woke me up this morning at stupid oclock to tell me the embassy had just telephoned her at that they are now going to issue her settlement visa.

the lady who spoke with her told her she would receive a letter and then she had to go and get her tb test done again and also asked her of her intended date to travel.

as you can imagine we are both over the moon and am now making her travel plans .

the only thing that was not said was if she would need to have the biometrics done which i believe they are now doing does anyone know about this ?

well thanks to everyone on here who has been such a help

I generally resolve not to answer those questions which are posed in the imperative. In this instance, however, I suggest that it depends how far you want to play it. Technically speaking, a decision reached now, based upon pre-existing facts, means that the rules as they were should be applied. Notwithstanding this, if you feel it is easier to kow-tow to the whims of officialdom, and have the biometrics done, although at the time it wasn't necessary, then that's your call.

Scouse.

hi all

well finally my wife has her visa in her passport .

as far as the biometrics she was not asked to do this all she had to do was attend the iom again and have her tb test redone ( 2600 baht ) after them making us wait for them to realise they were not going to go through with the appeal bit of a cheek to make you have to pay again ?

anyway all is well she has visa and she is looking forward to getting to this rainy country lol

thanks all
