Thailand's Department of Thai Traditional and Alternative Medicine has introduced three new formulas to address erectile dysfunction, a growing concern among Thai men. According to Department Director Nanthasak Chotichanadechawong, data since 2004 reveals that 43% of Thai men aged 40-70 are affected, with the issue worsening over time.

The problem, as described in Thai traditional medicine, stems from an imbalance in the wind element, impacting blood circulation and the nervous system. Treatment aims to restore balance between the wind and fire elements to enhance circulation. These formulas are composed of plant extracts in varying ratios, featuring ingredients like water lily rhizome, ginger, long pepper, wild betel pepper, and more.

Phra Ajarn Fan Acharo Hospital in Sakon Nakhon, a GMP-certified institution, is currently conducting clinical trials on these herbal remedies. This initiative forms part of a larger agenda to safeguard and promote traditional Thai medical practices, with ambitions to include these treatments in the National List of Essential Medicines.

Looking ahead, the focus remains on rigorous clinical evaluations to ascertain the efficacy and safety of these traditional remedies. The integration of these treatments into the national healthcare framework could significantly benefit those affected by erectile dysfunction, promoting a blend of traditional wisdom and modern medical practice.

Key Takeaways

  • Erectile dysfunction affects 43% of Thai men aged 40-70.
  • Remedies focus on balancing traditional elements for better circulation.
  • Clinical trials are underway, with potential national integration planned.

Forget the herbal or traditional remedies. That stuff hardly works or at best, only temporarily.

Put some lead in your pencil with the pharama grade meds!
