The magic key fob Nissan March

Featured Replies

How does this key work ? It appears not to have any battery in the fob, I thought the internal battery was stuffed as I couldn't open the door, it turned out to be a  flat starter battery and a stuffed alternator. As you can see I tried to open it with a knife/screwdriver but one can not. (On the upside my service light on my Juke has now gone out after about 2 years, either the oxidizer has got better 😀or the bulb has met it's demise. 🤪)

Once you get the screw off it should pry open. Otherwise take it to a locksmith and ask to replace the battery, most of them deal with fob’s.

I took the screw out, and had good leverage with my screwdriver, as you can see I tried all that, but the Point is, it was the cars battery that was flat, becoz the alternator was not working, since that's been fixed the fob works fine. ( I was a mechanic in my past life, I wouldn't trust a Thai locksmith not to break it completely and that would cost a small fortune to replace. just saying)
