A fire engulfed an Isuzu car showroom on Rama 2 Road, Bangkok, in the early hours of 22 November 2025, destroying three vehicles but causing no injuries. The alarm was raised at 01.50, when police from Bang Mod Station received reports of flames inside the two-storey concrete showroom, prompting rapid deployment of Chom Thong fire and rescue units alongside volunteers from Poh Teck Tung Foundation. Thick smoke and flames were reported from the ground floor hall as crews worked to control the blaze.

 

Firefighters quickly set up hoses and managed to bring the fire under control within 30 minutes. Damage included two pickup trucks and one multipurpose vehicle displayed inside, as well as counters, tables, chairs, sofas and other interior property. Despite the extensive destruction, there were no casualties reported.

 

Security guard Thawat Praphankul, 68, who was on duty, stated he heard a loud noise resembling a vehicle collision before discovering the fire in a corner of the ground floor with heavy smoke. At the time, the building was locked and empty of staff, as the incident occurred shortly after midnight. Thawat suggested the noise may have been caused by an electrical transformer explosion, though this has not been confirmed.

 

Amarin reported that by the time fire trucks arrived the fire had already spread significantly. Police have not yet concluded the cause of the fire and forensic and fire experts will conduct a detailed investigation to determine the source and sequence of events.
