How much are good Hearing Aids in LOS?

I think most are made in China so they should be much cheaper than the US.

Who do I contact.

Yes most hearing aids are MFG/assembled in China

Yes prices are cheaper in Thailand for the same products. About 50% cheaper.

Estimated prices range 1K USD - 3.5K USD for mid to high quality digital hearing aids (depending where you get them, and this is a price gouge warning)

parden again arai....uuuh...no need for them up Surin khmer way.....check out Dakhars' advice if you need to hear the drival.......

699$ for a Two channel product....

Two channel products are low end. (From an American market stand point) They would run about 1000 to 1500$ in the US. In such a case, you would be paying mostly for labor than technology.

Mid line products have around 7 channels, while most high end are 20+ & some out to 64 channels.

All three links that were provided are the same co. The news/pay add (third link) is actually the owner of HRC/Ear Tone.

In Thailand today, there is one college that offers a BS degree in Audiology. In America, to be an Audiologist, one is required to have a doctorate degree.

I just discovered I need an aid for both ears.

It's now nearly 3 years on since the last answer in this thread, and Eartone are offering a completely-in-canal unit for $699.

This isn't still just a 2-channel is it?

cheers

I can't tell you about price, because I already had mine when I arrived. However, when I needed to have mine cleaned, a very good shop was in the building adjacent to the Lumpini subway station that has many health businesses and offices inside. Not sure of the name of the building or the name of the business, but they were efficient and reasonably priced for their services. Just go in and explore...it's a nice building with a couple of good restaurants...I only saw one hearing aide place there.
