Ho Chi Minh City will celebrate the New Year with fireworks displays across four locations on January 1, 2026. High-altitude displays will be featured at three sites: the Saigon River Tunnel entrance in An Khanh Ward, New City's center in Binh Duong Ward, and Tam Thang Square in Vung Tau Ward. Additionally, Dam Sen Cultural Park in Binh Thoi Ward will host a low-altitude show.

The fireworks, funded by private investors, will last 15 minutes starting at midnight. Complementing these displays, a series of cultural and art performances will take place, including a countdown event on Nguyen Hue walking street, extended to the Le Loi Street area, Lam Son Park, and near Saigon Opera House. A culinary culture festival is also scheduled from December 27, 2025, to January 1, 2026, in Vung Tau Ward.

Decorative lighting will enhance central streets throughout the city, adding to the festive atmosphere. The celebrations are expected to draw both locals and tourists, invigorating the city with cultural vibrancy as the New Year begins. Experts anticipate these events will positively impact local businesses and tourism, while providing an opportunity for community engagement.

Looking forward, Ho Chi Minh City is set to continue its tradition of celebrating major events with grandeur. The festivities not only aim to entertain but also to showcase the city’s rich cultural heritage and modern dynamism. With strong support from private investors, future events are likely to see continued innovation and increased participation, reinforcing the city's status as a cultural hub in the region, reported VN Express.
