A tragic collision occurred on December 9th on the Da Nang–Quang Ngai Expressway in central Vietnam, leaving four dead and nine injured. A car carrying family members returning from a wedding collided with a container truck at approximately 4 a.m. The accident resulted in the deaths of four relatives of the bride and various injuries among the passengers, including minor injuries to the bride and groom.

 

The vehicle, which held 12 individuals, was on a journey from the groom's family home in Lam Dong Province to the bride's hometown in Ninh Binh Province. Three passengers died instantly, while a fourth passed away en route to the hospital. The deceased were aged between 37 and 76 and were all relatives of the bride.

 

Among the injured, nine people sustained varying injuries, with ages ranging from 23 to 55. The car's driver, Pham Van Kieu, suffered critical brain injuries. Despite the severity, the bride and groom only sustained minor injuries, offering some relief amidst the tragedy.

 

The local authorities have launched an investigation to determine the cause of the crash. The accident underscores ongoing concerns surrounding road safety in the region, reported VN Express.
