Today, a 19-year-old vocational student was rescued by police in Kamphaeng Phet after being targeted by scammers posing as Department of Special Investigation (DSI) officers. Police located the student at a resort in the Mueang district, where he had been persuaded by the scammers to book a room under false pretenses. Earlier, the same scam deceived another student from the same college, who was tricked into transferring 7,384 baht from his student loan and freelance earnings.

Rocket Strike Damages Thai Temple as Jets Hit Cambodia

A temple hall in Surin Province was severely damaged on 16 December, after Cambodian forces fired BM-21 rockets across the border, while Thai air operations continued against Cambodian military targets. According to the Facebook page Army Military Force, the rockets struck the temple grounds but monks and novices were unharmed.
