I wonder if this means that China is close to making chips that can match the performance of Nvidia's H-200s.

Hope the Chinese chips are more reliable than their BYD's and other EVs. Chinese goods have a well deserved reputation. There is a reason Chibsons cost $200 and Gibsons $2,000. I'd rather pay a premium for quality and buy American made chips.

Which are made in Taiwan and packaged in Malaysia, if you're talking about Intel, AMD, NVidia, Qualcomm,...

Actually, I think it's your comments that have the kind of reputation that you ascribe to Chinese goods. You're living in the past like so many right wingers.

I used AI to see what kind of reviews BYD's cars.  get . The summary was at the cars themselves get very good ratings but customer service tends to be poor.

Your analogy is flawed. A better way would be to compare like for like in terms of price.  $200 Chibson vs $200 A N Other. Same with the $2000 Gibson. I presume you know something about guitars, so I also presume you do know that Gibson have had some horrific quality control issues. Paying premium doesn't guarantee quality.
