A pedestrian overpass collapsed onto vehicles on Highway 34 (Theparat Road) in Samut Prakan on 18 December 2025, killing one person and injuring another and causing major traffic disruption on the inbound route to Bangkok. The structure fell onto a pickup truck and a dump truck near kilometre marker 34+500, opposite Nam Thai Market in Bang Bo district. Authorities closed lanes and urged motorists to avoid the Bang Na–Trat inbound carriageway while recovery work continued.
