Visitors reported that photographers seeking clients in traditional costumes were disturbing crowds and shouting, creating an unpleasant atmosphere. The backlash, amplified on social media, drew the attention of Thai Tourist Police, who intervened to regulate the situation. Wat Arun now requires photographers to undergo training and obtain permission to operate on temple grounds. The temple hopes stricter guidelines will ensure a more respectful and enjoyable experience for all visitors.
