Clash Over Gaza: Trump and EU Dispute Exposed

Featured Replies

A heated conflict between the US and EU regarding Gaza's future has erupted, with EU foreign policy chief Kaja Kallas criticizing Donald Trump’s “Board of Peace” as unaccountable and sidelining Palestinians and the UN. Spain’s foreign minister, José Manuel Albares, accused Trump of bypassing the UN’s original mandate for the board.

Speaking at the Munich Security Conference, Kallas highlighted discrepancies between the board's current charter and the initial UN resolution, noting the removal of references to Gaza and Palestinian involvement. She argued the board diverges from the UN resolution's intent, which stipulated limited duration, Palestinian input, and focus on Gaza.

US Democratic Senator Chris Murphy raised concerns about potential misuse of reconstruction funds, fearing they might benefit Trump’s allies instead of Palestinians. This revelation marks the first significant public disagreement over Trump’s plan, highlighting tensions surrounding Gaza’s ceasefire and the board’s upcoming Washington meeting.

Nickolay Mladenov, Trump’s appointee for Gaza, avoided controversy and emphasized the urgency of addressing humanitarian needs and decommissioning weapons. He stressed unity in Gaza for successful reconstruction and peace.

During tense exchanges with Kallas, US ambassador Mike Waltz defended the Board of Peace, arguing for a shift from the status quo and endorsing Indonesia’s troop contribution to an International Stabilisation Force. He insisted on reducing UN bureaucracy in favor of “focused multilateralism.”

Palestinian activist Mustafa Barghouti expressed concerns that Gaza discussions ignore the broader context, where settlement expansion threatens the two-state solution and the Oslo accord. This dispute underscores the complexities and geopolitical stakes involved in the region’s future.

Key Takeaways

  • EU criticizes Trump’s "Board of Peace" for excluding UN and Palestinian input.

  • Concerns arise over accountability and fund allocation.

  • Tensions highlight broader issues affecting Gaza and the two-state solution.

I don't like Trump. Not really.

But those clowns in the European Union parliament are no better. They are destroying Europe. It's because of such types, that people like Trump are put to power and are a a necessity at the end of the day.

  • Popular Post

Trumps a moron, he’s got this board for a job for life. It’s to enrich him and his family and to feed his ego of feeling important. The only countries joining his foolish adventure are those that must support him, like Israel and those that need something from him. Sensible countries are laughing at America and its elected leadership!

Craving and longing for more and more and more money and power.

Slave of his own endless greed.

The Board Of Peace is basically just another vehicle for Trumps personal financial enrichment with emphasis on keeping Palestinians out and restructuring and rebuilding the Trump Gaza Riviera with all real estate under the Trump brand banner. Main agenda to move all Palestinians out with no right of return.

No other country should pony up reconstruction money except Israel, just as the Allies die for Germany. In this case, Israel has no allies, so a visit to הרשמה לדיוור is in order.

Everybody consulted now...oh, except for Palestinians.

I know this message might be deleted in a few minutes. Remember, the YINON PLAN. Quote:

By accepting Israel's illegal annexation of East Jerusalem and the Golan Heights Trump has blatantly disregarded international law.

Trump has cut off funding for the Palestinian refugee agency and is seeking to change the refugee status of millions of Palestinians in order to deprive them of their legal right to return to their homes.

Trump has promoted a bogus peace plan, managed by his son-in-law who is an ardent Zionist, to try and buy the Palestinian nation's surrender to Israeli rule in all of historic Palestine.

During the summer of 2017, in Trump's first year in office, the U.S. military waged "a war of annihilation" against ISIS in two cities, Mosul in Iraq and Raqqa in Syria. "Raqqa is the most destroyed city in modern times in terms of percentage," Donatella Rovera, a crisis investigator in Raqqa for Amnesty International, said. The near total destruction of both cities is said to resemble that of Dresden in 1945.

So, why did the U.S. invade Syria illegally and lead the effort involving 67 nations to destroy Raqqa? What U.S. interest is served by destroying the cities of Raqqa and Mosul?

There is no U.S. interest in destroying Raqqa and Mosul. The devastation of these cities is part of a foreign agenda, an Israeli plan known as the Yinon Plan, named after the Israeli strategist who wrote it in the early 1980s, Oded Yinon. The Yinon Plan specifically calls for the dismemberment of Iraq and Syria, which is exactly the result of the U.S. intervention in these two nations.
