Long haul flights are expensive now

Featured Replies

Out of curiosity I just looked at one way flights from Bangkok to London . Most cheaper flights have a stop in the middle east and doubtful if they will fly but direct flights with Thai Air are sold out until the 21 of March and then they are 63,750 Baht one way , that's over £1500 . Also there was Norse air at over £5000 . Talk about a rip-off and jumping on the band wagon . How can they justify such massive increases ? Pure profiteering because of supply and demand and taking advantage of peoples predicaments .

As far as I am aware they are not incurring too many additional expenses . Shameful in my opinion .

You dont understand pricing levels. The last available seats on any flight at any time are extremely high

Always have been. If there are however multiple seats available you'll pick up closer to normal prices

Just quickly looked at flights one way on that 21st March seeing you mentioned it and Oman and Saudia normal connections around £700

Supply and demand is a determining factor in pricing for just about everything including airfares. That's how the cookie crumbles.

The crisis is a chance to make big money for the unaffected airlines.

Lufthansa group is adding flights to Asia. Good chance to win back customers who had chosen mideast airlines in the past.

A mate was rebooked to KLM on the 14th. Almost two weeks after his planned return with Emirates.

A few weeks back I almost booked a return flight with Emirates to London for March 31st for 27,000 baht. Gonna have a long wait to see that price again.
