I am pretty sure I know what happened. Similar to my experience a couple of years though not as public.

I took to a short time hotel a lovely tall woman from a Sukhumvit street corner not believing my luck given the price she agreed to. I parked her on the bed and went for a quick shower telling her to get comfortable.

I came out naked and found out she had indeed stripped down to her lingerie. I was greatly aroused and jumped on the bed and pulled off her top and bottom only to discover that she was as aroused as I was, only better hung. And from the intense look on his/her face, intent on making love to me.

I jumped off the bed, opened the door and fled down the corridor. Fortunately, I ran right into a bell hop who I knew and I explained the situation. He gave me a towel to cover myself and we went together to my room where he told my guest that I was not transphobic but just unprepared. My guest fortunately had a sense of humor and took the agreed amount with a smile and left.

Since then I have always taken care to ask freelancers if they had any notions of doing me rather my doing them.

Person may have been drugged or assaulted. I have come to accept that unexpected situations that defy reason or normal deportment are to be expected in tourist hubs like Pattaya, Patong etc. I believe such people deserve the benefit of the doubt until the circumstances are established. It is open season on the gullible, emotionally vulnerable and intellectually stunted who are preyed upon by opportunistic criminals.

I do not know what happened or if the man was even drugged. It could be a mental illness episode, a head injury or an intentional drugging. All I know is that we never get the full story. Easier for some to point a finger and pee all over the fellow.

It appears to me that you do not have much understanding of Thailand's regulatory environment. When did bar operators care about licensing compliance? When is the last time a regulatory body inspected a bar to verify hygiene or liquor quality? Do you know how many bars adulterate their alcohol? Sometimes they substitute cheap local brands for name brands, and at other times they can use bootleg alcohol. Please don't tell me that this doesn't happen here.

A really strange scenario- he could have been fleeing from so many dangers of which we are all well aware on this site - it will ne interesting to see if any further information is disclosed in due course
