But those tariffs he cannot impose carte blanche like he as doing with his mis-interpretation of IEEPA.

Coming from the poster that notoriously and falsely used to claim the Trump 1.0 economy PRE PANDEMIC was a greater depression than the actual Great Depression of the 1930s. Bit rich criticizing others for not understanding money🤣

Oh you silly old man!

Please LINK to any post where I said that.

What I have said repeatedly is that BEFORE Covid hit (and Trump grossly mismanaged it), Trump's economy was in the bottom 30% of all Quarters since the end of WWII. Now in MAGAstan, being beat by 70% of all quarters since the end of WWII might be a superlative, but to people who can read, it is below average. Nothing to crow about.

Another way of seeing it to to view this chart from the Bureau of Economic Analysis, or BEA, part of the USDept of Commerce, You are welcome to go tell them they are wrong.

POTUS-GDP.jpg

Oooh! This is not good.

It seems Trump's own Dept of Commerce is in on the "Affordability Hoax".

What's worse is these numbers come from BEFORE Trump launched his war and crude almost doubled.

The rhetoric from the Trump Administration is headed into the realm of absurdity. Virtually all of what comes out the the official Administration channels is Grade-A propaganda. Lies, exaggerations, and a ton of propaganda techniques that are too numerous to list.

The more these moronic statements are issued - if they don't come to past - those indulging in the propaganda totally lose their legitimacy in the eyes of those most impacted by this unending war insanity.

We have already won the war.
It will end in a few weeks.
Just a another month or so.
It will surely end by 2027.
Will bring the Iranians to heel by 2030.

Iran has been a target since the day the Iranian public overthrew the Shah. This was validated by Gen Westley Clark in 2007. Iran has been preparing for this conflict for three decades. And the US completely underestimates Iran's ability to fight a protracted war in defense of its country equating Iran to a backwards third-world country of camel riders and goat herders. Iran IS NOT Afghanistan. But if like Trump, you believe it is - you do so at your own detriment.

  • “If you know the enemy and know yourself, you need not fear the result of a hundred battles. If you know yourself but not the enemy, for every victory gained you will also suffer a defeat. If you know neither the enemy nor yourself, you will succumb in every battle.” (Chapter 1: Laying Plans; repeated in Chapter 3: Attack by Stratagem)

  • “He who exercises no forethought but makes light of his opponents is sure to be captured by them.” (Chapter 10: Terrain)

  • Recklessness, which leads to destruction (Chapter 8: Variation in Tactics — listed as one of the five dangerous faults of a general)
-Sun Tzu, The Art of War

So go ahead and sail a US led, NATO armada into the Straits of Hormuz. "Fool around, find out."

Leave NATO out of it this ain't our fight.

It seems like you believe that the POUTS has a button that controls GDP growth.

FDR - WW2 war spending.

Truman - Post war recession due to the halt in military spending.

Johnson - High growth due to JFK's tax cuts and high government spending, which pushed inflation.

Ford/Nixon - Some of Nixons polices were bad, and the 1973 oil shock.

Clinton - Dot Com Boom.

Then you see that GDP growth had trended down since the Dot Com boom.

Then COVID hit the world.

Then Biden poured gas on the inflation fire.

Israel is destroying the american and world economy by pulling in America into their war.

But then they are also doing the dirty work that nobody ever dared perhaps to do so ? hard to say.

More proof of GOP incompetence when it comes to handling the economy. Trump has been a disaster this far.

Under Obama there was a nuclear monitoring treaty in place. No need for war when everyone knew the weapons status. Some orange idiot tore it up.

There's a conspiracy floating around that at least one reason for this war (there are probably 15 reasons), is that Trump has a diabolical scheme to pay off the debt more quickly.

War = higher oil prices and then blah blah (I don't understand all the economics), but ..... a massive continuing devaluation of the US Dollar over the next 3-4 years, because this makes the debt easier to pay off.

So all US citizens need to brace for possible continued devaluation of the US dollar over the next 3-4 years.

But of course this theory could be total nonsense.

It does make a lot of sense and I think there's no doubt that the Deep State is controlling Trump like a puppet, as he is a very pliable and incredibly ignorant subject for them to manipulate. And of course they knew this all along.

If a scenario like this were to happen we could expect the Dow to drop to around 5,000, we could expect housing costs in the US to drop by 70%, and we could expect the dollar to drop to between 5 and 10 baht per dollar. Unemployment at 35%, real inflation at 40%, and that would no doubt result in a worldwide depression well beyond 1929.

But at least the gutter trash would be able to pay off the debt.

Yes, but possibly ushered in by AI .... to save the day?

Because the 3-4 year timeline takes us to 2029 - 2030, about the time a lot of experts are predicting massive AI roll out.

Rocky road ahead ...

Obama isn't in the Epstein files. Trump and Lindsey Graham(allegedly an alcoholic with a predilection for young males) are in the Epstein Files.

For some balance, Clinton is also in there. That's why the Clinton/Barak talks with Arafat were suddenly derailed.

I would have rathered Trump deported any Iranian and we just forgot about the entire region, but Trump does have a perfect record of being on the right side of issues, while the irrational hate cult have been wrong about everything, so Ill just sit on the fence and watch it all play out.

care to expand on trumps perfect record of being on the right side of issues? give us a list to educate us but make it factual not opinion or self serving claims that have no factual basis.

FYI, Trump has made hush money payments to boys as well. Not sure any of this relates to Trump trashing the Iranian nuclear treaty though.
