It is belittling of real Pigs to be linking them to a total Moron that will steal from and cause the deaths all round the world of anyone, if it suits HIS totally idiotic and fluctuating multiple agendas!

PS; Can anyone think of an animal that accurately matches Trump and his actions without insulting the actual animal?

"17 businesses failed"? Oh, ok, so name me a billionaire real estate mogul who hasn't had flops—especially in casinos during Atlantic City's collapse. Trump restructured debt like every major developer does, hint: (Chapter 11 is a tool, not failure). Six corporate bankruptcies? All casinos, tiny slice of his empire, and he walked away richer while banks took haircuts. Meanwhile, he built a brand worth billions, reality TV empire, and turned a $1B inheritance into... well, whatever Forbes says this week, $8-10B. But sure, focus on Trump Vodka and ignore the hotels, golf courses, and licensing deals that printed money. The lawsuits? Big real estate = big legal fights. Contractors get stiffed sometimes—happens to everyone from developers to Hollywood studios. "Crushed"? Dramatic much? Most settled; it's business, not personal vendetta.

Your rant is peak expat-forum cope: dredging up 30-year-old casino drama while ignoring pre-COVID boom (record lows for unemployment across races, energy independence, Abraham Accords), the 2024 landslide, and the fact that voters said "promises kept" louder than your list of broken ones. spidermike007, if this is your mic-drop, the mic just rolled under the table. Trump's not perfect—nobody is—but he's the guy who keeps winning while you're still typing therapy essays in Thailand. Touch grass, or better yet, touch some winning stocks from that "failed businessman." Cope harder, maestro—your tune's been on repeat since 2015. 😏

Lol! Trump 1.0 surfed on Obama's good economic trends! And that also include energy independence! 😂

• Forbes just pegged Trump's net worth at $6.5 billion (up $1.4 billion in the last year alone during his second term).

• That's billionaire territory—645th richest person on Earth, to be exact.

• The jump comes mostly from crypto plays (World Liberty Financial tokens, stablecoins, etc.),

Irrespective of how the world's biggest con man made conned his way to his billions how does that reflect on his obvious total unsuitability for public office?

Trump ? I would more consider it's Israel who seems to totally control american politics and for ages.

First, let's appreciate the artistry here. Calling Trump a "prime conman" raking in billions from "shonky deals, scams and crooked crypto deals" with Witkoff and Kushner help—then pivoting straight to eternal damnation via underground fire-stoking.

Disregarding all that, can you explain if you believe Trump is a good President for the USA and if so why?

No other President repeatedly claimed "best ever", especially when even before Covid, Trump had the worst performing economy (as measured by GDP change) since Herbert Hoover. See the chart I posted earlier, sourced from the Dept of Commerce's BEA.

All Presidents claim they have strong economies. You are arguing for no reason.

For some reason, too, Biden gets no quarter for having inherited Covid and what that did to inflation, while Trump is immune from criticism, at least in MAGAstan. Also, while theoretically the House approves spending, Trump enacted many policies by EO, on top of the Repub tax cut of his first 2 years.

The reality is that Joe Biden's policies have contributed to inflation. I even shared an MIT research paper that supports this claim. You need to stop ignoring the evidence. All presidents implement policies through executive orders. It seems you only take issue when Trump does it.

AI could have the opposite effect, it could dumb down society dramatically, and it could cause millions upon millions of job losses. Social media is dumbing down society, while AI has the potential to enhance the productivity of people.

Your weak little jab—"Irrespective of how the world's biggest con man made conned his way to his billions how does that reflect on his obvious total unsuitability for public office?"—is peak ASEANnow expat rage-bait: smug, typo-riddled ("made conned"?), and built on the tired "Trump = fraud" trope without a shred of new evidence or logic. It's the kind of drive-by that thinks calling someone a "con man" ends the debate, especially when the guy just got reelected by millions who clearly disagree.

"Unsuitability" for office? Voters decided otherwise: In 2024, Trump won a clear mandate—popular vote edge, Electoral College landslide—despite decades of this exact "con man" smear. Americans knew the business record, the lawsuits (~3,600+ over decades, many business disputes), the bankruptcies, the hype... and voted him back anyway. Why? Because they weighed it against results: pre-COVID economic boom, energy independence, no new wars in term 1, Abraham Accords, tax cuts, etc. "Unsuitability" is subjective opinion, not fact—especially post-2024 when the electorate rejected the narrative.

Logic fail: Your question assumes wealth = unsuitability. By that standard, half of Congress (millionaires) and past presidents (e.g., Bushes, Kennedys) would be disqualified. If anything, business success shows negotiation, deal-making, and resilience—skills that translate to politics. The "con" label is ad hominem, not argument.

So please, spare us the pearl-clutching from the beach barstool brigade. "World's biggest con man conned his way to billions"? Scott-john, if that's your mic-drop, the mic just got repo'd. This guy's "con" was so masterful he:

  • Built a global brand worth billions.

  • Starred in the highest-rated reality show ever.

  • Turned a meme coin/crypto play into hundreds of millions in 2025–2026 while critics screamed "scam."

  • Got shot at twice, kept rallying, and won re-election anyway.

"Obvious total unsuitability"? The 77 million+ voters in 2024 (and the silent majority who don't post on ASEANnow) beg to differ. They looked at the "con man" resume—flops, wins, bravado, all of it—and said, "Yeah, we'll take that over the alternative." You? Still seething in Thailand, recycling the same weak sauce that lost last time.

Pro tip: If your attack boils down to "he's rich therefore evil," maybe upgrade from forum rants to actual policy critiques. Until then, keep coping in the comments while the "con man" runs the country and cashes checks." Touch grass—or better yet, touch some winning.

Oh, look at Candide, the absolute legend of the lounge-chair economist crowd—dropping "Lol!" like it's a mic drop while sipping a Singha on the forum patio. "Trump surfed on Obama's trends"? Listen up for a moment, if that's your big insight, you're the one riding waves... of outdated 2016 talking points straight into irrelevance.

Yeah, Obama handed over a recovering economy—props for digging out of the Bush crash he inherited. But Trump didn't just "surf"—he grabbed the board, added rocket boosters (tax cuts, deregulation, energy unleashing), and turned steady growth into record lows on unemployment (across EVERY demographic), wage gains for blue-collar workers, and the stock market partying like it was 1999. The "continuation" crowd loves ignoring how confidence soared post-2016 election—businesses invested because they knew the war-on-energy was over.

And energy independence? Oh yes, this is where your "Lol!" hits peak comedy gold. Obama gets props for the fracking tech boom—cool story. But the U.S. was STILL a net importer sucking in foreign oil like a vacuum when Trump took the wheel. He flips the script: approves pipelines Obama slow-walked, opens federal lands, tells the green new-deal crowd to pound sand, and BAM—America becomes a net petroleum exporter for the first time since Harry Truman was president. 2018–2019 weekly/monthly net exporter status, full annual net energy exporter by 2020 all the while your side screamed "climate apocalypse.". That's not riding Obama's coattails; that's lapping him so hard the Secret Service had to check for performance-enhancing policies.

Keep "Lol!"-ing in Thailand threads titled "Trump is destroying the economy" while gas was cheaper, jobs were plentiful, and America told the world "drill, baby, drill" again. Voters in 2024 looked at the record—not your selective amnesia—and said "more of that, please." Mandate delivered.

Pro tip, Candide: If your gotcha relies on pretending milestones happened before they actually did, maybe upgrade from forum snark to facts. Until then, enjoy the beach—while the "surfer" runs the country and keeps the lights on.

If anything, comparing Trump to a pig is a compliment: pigs are smart, tough, family-oriented, and provide for millions. Trump? He just provides wins, mandates, and lower gas prices (pre-Iran drama). The real insult here is to pigs for having to share syllable space with your meltdown

You just spent your post trying NOT to insult animals... and accidentally described the most pathetic, low-energy, underground-dwelling losers in the animal kingdom. If that's your upgrade from "pig," congrats—you've officially dunked on wildlife harder than any Trump meme ever could. Banana slug? At least slugs move at their own pace without whining about it. Trump moves at warp speed, wins elections, and makes the economy roar while you're typing manifestos in Thailand.

Face it, spidermike: the only thing getting "belittled" here is yours and scottijohns attempt and your idea of wit. Pigs certainly deserve better than your fake outrage, and animals deserve better than being your failed Trump metaphors. If you want a real match without insulting the beast? How about a chameleon—adapts to anything, changes colors for the crowd, and still comes out on top. Or better yet: a bald eagle. Majestic, polarizing, unbreakable, and currently soaring while your hot takes crash and burn.

Keep defending the pigs, slugs, hero. Meanwhile, the "Moron" according to your equally disillusioned pal scotty is back in the Oval, the mandate's rolling, and the only thing fluctuating is your blood pressure in this forum thread.

Cope harder, pig protectors. The bacon's sizzling, and your burn just got served cold.

Lol again! He was surfing on Obama's good economic trends. The US became a net exporter under Trump, because most of the job had been done under Biden.

Similarly, Trump 2.0 is surfing on the good trend of oil production under Biden. Drill baby drill! 🤣

There were already so many problems created by the whipsaw effect of Trump's tariffs, and his constant threats of more and more tariffs, which amounted to taxation on the American consumer. Higher prices, more inflation. The exact opposite of what Trump promised during his campaign. So much chaos accompanied by so little progress. And nothing to show for it in the way of promised manufacturing jobs returning to America.

With more pain to come for the US deficit.

This from the NZ Herald......

New Zealand-founded manufacturing conglomerate Zuru has sued the United States Government, leveraging a Supreme Court decision that ruled President Donald Trump’s tariffs were illegal and claiming entitlement to hundreds of millions of dollars in refunds.

In its complaint to the United States Court of International Trade, Zuru called the tariffs “unprecedented and unlawful” and said the collection of US$200 billion ($340b) from tens of thousands of companies over the past year had a “devastating effect on importers”.

Importers had challenged the legality of last year’s tariffs and in late February those appeals reached the Supreme Court, where Trump’s use of emergency powers to impose the trade taxes was ruled unlawful.

Courts ordered tariffs collected to date to be repaid, but the process – involving repaying 30,000 possible claimants more than US$200b collected over the past year – has proven complicated and elongated.

Oh wow, xylophone, you really went all-in on that vintage 2024 rage-list, huh? Like, you copy-pasted it straight from the pre-election doom-scrolling playbook and hit "post" in 2026 like nothing's changed. Adorable. It's giving "I peaked in the Kamala campaign group chat and refuse to log off" energy. But since you're so graciously highlighting my "yellow and pink rambles" (flattered, truly—rainbow warrior status unlocked), Buckle up, buttercup; your "sane folk" TED Talk is about to get fact-checked into oblivion.

• 64 times mentioned in the Epstein report → Oh really, try thousands now after the massive 2025-2026 DOJ dumps (3+ million pages, including the ones Trump himself signed into law for "transparency"). Mentions are mostly old flight logs from the '90s, news clippings, and zero smoking guns. No charges, no credible dirt—DOJ even called out fake claims submitted right before 2020. But sure, keep clutching that lowball number like it's your last shred of relevance.

• 97 times pleaded the fifth → In a civil divorce case decades ago? Over "other women" questions? Shocking that a guy with lawyers uses a constitutional right. He invoked it more in the NY AG probe too—big whoop. Every billionaire does it. Next you'll cry about him using free speech.

• 34 felony convictions → The hush-money case: 34 counts of falsifying records. Convicted 2024, sentenced to unconditional discharge in early 2025—no jail, no fine, just the scarlet letter. Still on appeal in 2026, with immunity arguments bouncing around courts. Felon on paper? Technically. Actual consequences? Zilch. Meanwhile, he's president again. Cry harder.

• 91 criminal charges / 26 sexual assault charges → Charges ≠ convictions, genius. Most got delayed, dismissed, or withered post-election. The "sexual assault" bit? Mostly civil suits like E. Jean Carroll (liable for abuse/defamation, ~$88M total—not criminal rape under NY law). Inflated numbers much? It's like counting parking tickets as felonies.

• 6 bankruptcies → Business Chapter 11 restructurings in the casino/hotel world (1991–2009). Not personal. He bounced back richer. That's called winning in capitalism, not losing.

• 5 draft deferments → Bone spurs, Vietnam era. Standard for the time. Biden had deferments too. Yawn.

• 2 impeachments → Acquitted twice. Political kabuki theater. Didn't stick.

• Fake university/charity/fraud settlements → Trump U $25M settlement (no guilt admitted), foundation $2M penalty. Slaps on the wrist. Civil stuff.

• Sexual abuse/fraud judgments → Carroll cases ($88M) and NY civil fraud ($400M+, under appeal, bond posted). Civil payouts, not criminal time. Big dollars, zero bars.

• Deficit/debt/firsts → Added ~$7.8T in term 1 (hello, COVID trillions). Debt-to-GDP high, yes. But "increase deficit every year"? Context: pre-COVID deficits existed, and Biden blew past it with interest spikes and spending sprees (some analyses say Biden added more adjusted for time/inflation). Now in term 2, debt's still climbing—bipartisan tradition. Your "firsts" list is cherry-picked and outdated.

• First major party candidate in half a century to lose the popular vote twice → 2016 and 2020, sure. But 2024? He won it outright (~49.8–50%+, first Republican since 2004). Over 77 million votes. Your list expired faster than milk left in the Bangkok sun.

You wrap it up by calling him an "orange clown" and me (and other "MAGAs and Bogans") some kind of defective human for backing him. Sweetie, the guy just won again—popular vote flip, Electoral landslide, all while your side screamed "this time it's over" for the umpteenth time. Dear, dear, Bogan........you are very keen on defending trump, the crook and compulsive liar! That means you are a staunch MAGA cult follower and avid Kool Aid drinker. I don't "rage post", just post the facts, but then again they are anathema to MAGAs, so it is understandable that you are doing all you can to defend this sorry POS.

PS. Your post puts me in mind of the following quote: “It’s hard to win an argument with a smart person, but it’s damn near impossible to win an argument with a stupid person.....substitute MAGA for stupid person”.

PPS. I have no time nor inclination to read MAGA posts so on to ignore you go BoganJoe.......mmm, that rhymes!!

Trump invokes Fifth Amendment nearly 450 times in N.Y. AG’s civil probe of his business practices

An attorney for Trump said the former president answered only one question, about his name, during the four-hour deposition.

Former President Donald Trump invoked his Fifth Amendment right against self-incrimination Wednesday during a deposition before lawyers from New York Attorney General Letitia James' office in its probe into the Trump Organization's business practices.

The deposition lasted four hours, and the only question the former president answered was about his name, Trump attorney Ron Fischetti told NBC News.

A source with knowledge of the deposition said Trump took the Fifth more than 440 times.

Oh look here, you're back with the condescending "Dear, dear, Bogan..." opener like a disappointed Victorian aunt scolding the help. Peak passive-aggressive forum energy right there. Calling me a "staunch MAGA cult follower and avid Kool Aid drinker" for defending Trump? Sweetie, that's not defense—it's just pointing out that your copy-paste Trump "greatest hits" list from 2024 expired harder than a Bangkok street food warranty. But go off with the cult accusations while you're the one still chugging the same stale narrative months after he won again.

You claim you don't "rage post," just "post the facts." Facts so fresh they're fossilized! Your last drop was a laundry list of charges, convictions, and deficits that ignored the 2024 popular vote flip, the unconditional discharge on the hush-money case (no jail, no fine—poof), appeals ongoing, and the guy literally back in the White House hosting allies who call him a peacemaker. But sure, keep insisting "facts are anathema to MAGAs" while dodging every update that doesn't fit your script. That's not posting facts; that's selective bookmarking.

And defending a "crook and compulsive liar" / "sorry POS"? Pot, meet kettle—your posts ooze the kind of seething resentment that screams "I lost the argument but won't admit it." You're not calm and factual; you're the guy who drops "Dear, dear" like it's a mic drop, then pivots to cult-shaming because the receipts keep showing Trump winning (elections, comebacks, international praise). If anyone's drinking Kool Aid, it's the crowd still pretending 2026 headlines aren't mixed at worst—stock market wobbles, some job dips (thanks tariffs/immigration/deportation chaos per reports), but no full meltdown, GDP chugging along post-shutdown, unemployment low-ish around 4.4%, and private sector holding strong despite the doom predictions. Your "destroying the economy" thread title? More wishful thinking than reality check.

Keep calling names, xylophone— "cult follower," "Kool Aid drinker," "defending this sorry POS." It's adorable how triggered you get when someone pushes back on your outdated rage compilation.

Oh, CallumWK, you absolute time-traveling legend—dropping a straight 2022 NBC News paste job into a March 2026 forum thread like it's the hot new tea that's finally gonna sink the ship. "Trump invokes Fifth Amendment nearly 450 times in N.Y. AG’s civil probe..." Yeah, we all lived through August 10, 2022: four-hour deposition, answered one question (his name, because manners), then Fifth Amendment symphony for the rest—over 440 times, per sources and his lawyer Ron Fischetti. Classic Trump: turn a legal grilling into a constitutional flex.

But here's the strange part Callumwk—you're posting this in the "Trump is destroying the economy" thread in 2026 like it's relevant evidence of current economic Armageddon. Bro, that deposition was four years ago. It was part of Letitia James' civil (not criminal) probe into Trump Org valuations. Fast-forward through the timeline you conveniently skipped:

• Led to a lawsuit (filed Sept 2022).

• Trial verdict in 2024: ~$454M+ penalty (with interest ballooning to $500M+), fraud liability found.

• Trump posted bond, appealed.

• August 2025: New York appeals court tossed the entire massive penalty as "excessive" under the Eighth Amendment (cruel and unusual fines—boom, half-billion gone). Upheld narrow fraud liability and some non-financial penalties (like short leadership bans, now paused/on appeal).

• James appealed to NY's highest court (Court of Appeals) in Sept 2025—still grinding, but no money collected, no jail, and Trump's back in the White House anyway.

So your "gotcha" is literally expired newsprint: a protected constitutional right used in a civil case that's since had its teeth pulled on appeal. Invoking the Fifth isn't guilt—it's smart lawyering when facing a politically charged probe (James ran on "getting Trump," after all). Every defendant can do it; mobsters, CEOs, you-name-it. Trump even owned his old 2016 shade ("If you're innocent, why take the Fifth?") and said anyone in his spot not using it would be a fool.

Posting this now, in a thread griping about tariffs/jobs/current economy? It's giving desperate "remember when?" vibes from someone whose bookmark folder is stuck in the Biden era. If this is your smoking gun for "destroying the economy," the barrel's pointed backward. Trump's out here in 2026 hosting allies, shrugging off old probes, and winning elections while you're necro-bumping 2022 headlines on ASEAN Now like a digital archaeologist who forgot to check the date.

Keep digging up fossils, CallumWK—your forum sleuthing is committed, but the treasure's dust. Meanwhile, the guy's president again, and your big reveal landed like a wet sock in the Chao Phraya.

Over the years, former President Donald J. Trump has generally criticized other politicians for taking the Fifth Amendment. But on Wednesday, he invoked the right himself during a deposition at the office of the New York attorney general, and it wasn’t the first time.

Mr. Trump previously contended that invoking one’s Fifth Amendment rights was virtually an admission of wrongdoing.

“So there are five people taking the Fifth Amendment, like you see on the mob, right? You see the mob takes the Fifth. If you’re innocent, why are you taking the Fifth Amendment?” Mr. Trump said at a rally in Iowa in 2016, referring to investigations into Hillary Clinton’s handling of potentially classified material as secretary of state.

Appear to be," huh? That's the weasel-word special, aka the forum equivalent of "I'm not saying you're ugly, but... you sure look like it from over here." You didn't commit to "are AI bilge," just "appear" because deep down, you know it's a hunch, not evidence. No specifics, no quoted lines, no "em-dash count", no "delve" gotcha, no nothing. Just vague hand-waving like a conspiracy theorist spotting chemtrails in a cloudy sky. Bold move accusing someone of "vast swathes" without even bothering to point out which swathe smells fishy. Peak intellectual laziness.

If you're gonna play AI detective, at least bring receipts instead of this weak "it appears" shrug. Otherwise, it just appears you're triggered, out of ammo, and resorting to the oldest deflection in the book: "Must be a bot, because no human could possibly clown me this hard." LOL, clown!

You didn't think that Boganjoe would be able to compile a post with more than 10 words himself, did you?

All he is able to is post AI and Memes, and that has been so under all his previous usernames.

Well done for taking out the m dashes.

lol calm down

“weasel words”…mate its a forum not a courtroom…im not writing a legal brief here

i said appears because thats what it does…same tone…same structure…same overcooked paragraphs every time…reads like its been run through a template not typed by a person just posting normally

and yeah im not gonna sit here counting em dashes like some kind of ai hall monitor…bit weird tbh…you seem way more invested in that than me

“bring receipts”…for what exactly…a vibe check ? 😂

if it walks like it talks like it repeats like it…people notice…simple as that

and this whole “youre triggered clown lol” stuff…bit try hard tbh…reads more like deflection than anything else

anyway…if youre not ai then fine…doesnt really change the point…still reads like it is 👍

Trump: "Hold my cheeseburger."

Many of us thought that in the past, but then again none of us have seen Trump 2.0 until now. The degree to which he has been reckless, thoughtless, careless, dangerous, and aggressive has been astonishing to most, and likely many of his supporters are quite surprised too, though most are still having a very hard time mustering up the requisite level of manhood, dissent and criticism in that regard.

Maybe he was right, maybe he can get away with anything including some shooting someone point blank on 5th Avenue.
