Do visa agents actually fix problems or can they make things worse?

Suggest not to cut/paste when quoting someone which is what you did here above.

My post was actually...

"Most agents will require your attendance on day of application for extension based on retirement..

Some can process without your attendance."

Will stand by my post. Most agent facilitated extensions require applicant to attend. Not just Jomtien.

Agents such as TVC do some extensions upcountry and that's all done via mail.

I switched to an agent awhile back, the majority of my friends use agents, they're incredibly convenient. I use one that's very reliable and I never have to step foot into an immigration office, which

  • This was the OP's query: Can they actually fix things (money etc) and get the job done or is that a myth ? My answer: Amazing grace! how sweet the sound, That saved a wretch; like me

  • Of course! Do you use a real estate agent, travel agent, insurance agent, car sales agent, talent agent, publicity agent, and on it goes. You know it makes sense, why delay, do it today!

all one needs do is file a NEW TM 30 for wherever you are living>
regardless where ur extension was obtained
its not rocket science

OK, and if you have registered your correct place of residence and you need the new visa extension after a year, where do you go if you don't meet (like before) all the requirements? Back to the previous agent in Pattaya or something? No, it´s not a rocket science....

You have to attend to get the photo taken in CM. Did so this month and it took less than 10 minutes!

As a result any of your dealings with CM immigration for such things as COR, pp renewal (transfer of stamps), 90 reports etc will not be an issue.

Note: making a new TM30 for change of address to province where you actually live does not cover all bases.

For example my last transfer of stamps CW wanted update of my bank book and photocopies of pages back to last extension.

For anyone using agent that uses "upcountry" Office then best policy is to have agent take care of items such as 90 report etc

just use any agent

they file a new tm 30 in the province the extension will be issued,

once your passport is back, file a new tm 30 for where u do live so you do 90 day reports there O( or online) or allow agent to file for you
BUT if u need a cor to get a new dl or buy a car/bike u want ur tm 30 to match where u live
you are NOT tied to one agent

been doing it for years
never used an agent in pattaya as there u need to go to immigration

You posted a lot in this attached thread.

You are using agent that obtains extension "up country"

Many do not want that option.

You need to post accurate information.

As I have pointed out... A TM30 for change of address is no longer a simple fix for some immigration offices.
