My best nights out in Thailand were live music in Bangkok. There's some good venues for music and some have lasted many years.

I would have no idea where to go but I'm sure there are loads of fun places.

Ask AI if you ever want to go out there. I'm usually in bed by 9pm these days.

Great festival. Sure beats Xmas and easter! Lets hope all the sad old farangs get hit with ice water. People who hate Songkran hate life.

Some of these guys get their bu++holes so tightly clenched just thinking about songkran that you couldn't drive a toothpick up them with a sledgehammer.

So who made god? Does he have a dad?

Thanks again to another Mr. Knowitall.

No, he is not a Knowit all, he is simply stating when, in answer to your rather silly question, Songkran is.

Does that make you a Know<deleted>all?

Ask him when you talk to him, as everyone talks to God.................https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=allxx9EzoxU.

Of course....God the Father

Since nobody really answered you -

Water throwing probably starting in some places from today although not seen any reports other than @Ralf001 saying he was locked and loaded......

Pattaya main Wan Lai day or whatever it is called is the 19th with Naklua on the 18th. So basically every day from now to the 19th. 19th Pattaya becomes a giant car park on all the main roads and more water is wasted used then probably for the whole of April......

The 20th it is back to normal, or as normal as Pattaya is.

This is what I was seeking when I asked the question. Local information and not the official dates. Thanks for taking the time to post @topt

Wednesday 15 April (11am): Is Beach Road open as normal for cars and Central Festival parking? Will I get wet walking on 2nd Road to Robin Hood (lunchtime)?

In the past I think it is only the last big day where they had restrictions but no idea this year if they have anything organised on Beach Road for the official 3 days.

You could be right but I have not been following it that closely.

Someone else should hopefully chime in with the relevant news article if they have seen it.

Quick search found this

https://www.pattayamail.com/latestnews/news/pattaya-imposes-traffic-lockdown-for-songkran-water-festival-beach-road-closed-april-19-542984

<During April 17–18, activities will be centered along Pattaya Beach Road, where five concert stages and entertainment zones will be set up. Traffic will remain open during the daytime, but in the evenings, more than 30 traffic police per shift, along with over 800 volunteers, will be deployed across 33 key points covering Pattaya and Jomtien to manage congestion and ensure safety.

On April 19, stricter measures will be enforced. Beach Road will be fully closed from Dolphin Roundabout to Wat Chai Mongkhol intersection—a stretch of more than 3 kilometers—from 12:00 p.m. to midnight. Connecting sois between Beach Road and Second Road (from Soi 1 to Soi 13/4) will also be closed and designated as emergency service lanes.>

I've never seen it this dead. Just rode from 3rd Road to Beach Road, down pothole, along Buakhao and down soi 15 and not a single person was out throwing water. Guess I'll have to go looking for it. Hotel close to Beach Rd is dead. I got it for a song on a last minute booking. This city isn't even a shadow of its former self.

He was just too early. At 2.30pm there were even a couple of massage places on Klang throwing and there were many along Buakhao from Klang to Rcon plus pick ups with sprayers in the beds.

I guess the huge tanker will be parked opposite Lotus Sukhumwit again...

Filling up the queue of pick ups

It has a white message [in Eng;lish?]..underneath...

'EMTY YOU TILET'....Plus phone number....

Yes highly likely, tomorrow is the big finale on Suk road.

I dont care what anyone says...I want to keep throwing water at strangers for at least another week or 2....All day, every day....10 days of water throwing in Pattaya is just not enough....

I went out briefly on the scooter yesterday afternoon, eerily quiet, most people were bunkering down, anyway it's over!
