Spot on IMO ! Israel's wars in Gaza, the West Bank, south Lebanon and Iran, since the Oct 7th atrocities, have appalled countless millions. Over many decades, Israel has played this card, i.e. that a

Before October 7th, I'd have thought rabid antisemitism was more or less a thing of the past, at least in developed countries of the West. The current resurgence, especially among the young, has been

It's not racism. People are sick and tired of the never ending atrocities in that part of the world. The biggest enemy of the Jewish people are the leaders who refuse to end this madness.

No it's not.

Jews can have 2 safe havens. Why not?

In a world where mass migration is becoming increasingly common, where Muslims are scattering to every country on earth in droves ... 2 separate safe havens is not a big deal at all.

They bring it on themselves. As a people, you can’t repeatedly go into other countries and kill and maim and steal land. We supposedly left all that nonsense behind generations ago. I say it as I see it. If you see that as being Islamophobic… well, whatever

The problem is, Froggie, that Palestine was only a safe haven for Jews until 1909, when immigrant Jews decided they needed protection. Ever since, violence is the only solution.

So the Jews back then were just imagining the pogroms, huh?

The progroms were in Europe and Russia, not Palestine!

But most of these stateless Jews do not have ancestral DNA ties to the land.

The emigration of displaced and/or stateless Jews to Israel was largely resolved in the 1950s. Immigration to Israel between 1948 and 1951 amounted to 700,000 Jews, more than doubling the initial Jewish population of 650,000. By the end of the 1950s, Israel's population had more than tripled to 2.1 million.

Immigration slowed in the 1960s, although there were surges such as the rescue of Ethiopia's Jews and the flight of Iranian Jews after the Islamist revolution. Most significant was the emigration of Russian Jews after the fall of the Soviet Union.

DNA was an unknown concept in the 1950s. DNA "fingerprinting" was invented in 1984 and didn't become widespread until the late 1990s.

By "they," do you mean Israelis only or all Jews, whether or not they live in Israel and support Zionism? Same-same with "as a people." Is it all Jews or only Israelis who act "as a people?"

Only the Israeli Defense Forces have been engaged in military actions against other countries. What does that have to do with Jews who live outside Israel?

It's been my experience on AN that anti-Zionist and anti-Israel posters are very reluctant to answer questions. Let's see if @daveAustin bucks the trend.

Yes, it does seem the anti-Zionist posters rely heavily on straw men and red herrings.

It is indisputable that there are deep historical, cultural and religious roots of antisemitism within European societies, these where carried to what is now the United States by European migrants.

The same cannot be said of Asia and in reference to this forum Thailand.

Which begs a question.

What is the cause of the very recently rising anger within Thai society against Israelis?

A few foreign Anti semites shouting loudly and posting a few stories numerous times .

French and British and Indians seem to be in the news on daily basis for misbehaving and its soon forgotten about , one Israeli doesn't take her shoes off in beach side restaurant and its never forgotten about (By foreign Muslim sympathises , Thais weren't bothered about it )

The Zionist project has degenerated to the point where the facts don't even matter anymore.

Anyone defending it is insane.

Undoubtedly plays a part, but Thai social media and mainstream media isn’t spreading views rooted in European historical, cultural and religious views.

It’s far more focussed on current affairs and in particular those relating to Thailand and what goes on in Thailand.

What are Jews doing in Thailand that has caused this backlash ?

If Thai people were responding to online foreign antisemitic influences it would reveal itself as Thais repeating the ‘foreign’ antisemitic views/tropes/slurs.

They do not.

Thai social and main stream media wrt to observably growing animosity towards Israelis is focused on specific incidents and issues, behaviour of which you give one example.

Growing Thai animosity towards Israelis is an observable thing, it’s not imported, I’m not convinced it has anything at all to do with Antisemitism.

You’ve given one example, there are many more in mainstream news and media.

Growing Thai animosity towards Israel’s is an observable phenomenon, I have no explanation of the cause.

I don’t recall ever hearing a Thai person referring to Israelis as Jews or any individual as a Jew.

I don’t believe it’s a distinction that is commonly made by Thai people.

There isn't growing animosity towards Israelis in Thailand though .

Some Thai mainstream media reports about animosity towards Israelis

You might not read Thai language news and social media.

If you did you’d not make such a claim.

Could you post the links up ?

Doesn't Thai media have English versions (That you can post)?

Israeli media isn't indictive of Thai media

So, could you write in English, What are the Thai media saying about Israelis ?

I’m sure it does, and you can spend time looking for it (some Thai sources, while credible, are not permitted on this forum).

I’ve provided a link to a credible English language source.

I’m not interested in your incessant broken record questions.

Growing Thai animosity towards Israelis is an observable phenomenon, refer link provided.

It's very fashionable amongst old crusty Liberals as well.

No it isn't .

One media Israeli report from over a years ago saying Israelis need to behave doesn't prove anything .

There is no growing animosity towards Israelis in Thailand

This incident took place in Italy.

Apparently, some Italians were wearing Palestine T-shirts.

An Israeli woman lashes out and threatens someone saying "You piece of <deleted>, I'm gonna <deleted>in' kill you" .... literally a death threat.

Seems a bit entitled to impose your politics in a foreign country with threats to locals.

.................But what REALLY happened ?
