Under the guidance and leadership of Netanyahu and the extremists who dictate policy in Israel, there is no more dignity, nor does the policy possess much in the way of morality these days. Israel has gone off the deep end and no longer commands much respect worldwide.

There is no point in firing him - they are already in the process of dissolving the government towards the elections in September or October. It is highly unlikely that Ben Gvir will serve in the next government - or any future government for that matter.

Sounds like YOU are unhinged if you believe it actually happened. The same "wounded" flotilla people blocked passenger gates at Bilbao airport just hours later and were given a proper beatdown by Spanish police dragging them away. NOW they are actually wounded...
P.S. I wish to see both Bibi and Ben Gvir gone for good from Israeli politics - but that doesn't change the fact that these flotillas are there as agitators exactly to create headlines and bad press. Israel treated them a lot better than Spanish police did. And yes- Ben Gvir's stupid stunt was wrong and he's an idiot, but that's all it was - a stunt.

Does that make the many flotilla a "stunt"? There's no secret there. The flotillas are to focus world attention on the shameless, disproportionate atrocities visited upon Gaza.

Frankly, I think many activists today have a) not been trained in nonviolence and b) have no idea what can happen in an arrest.

I've been brutalised by police and soldiers in demonstrations. Their tensions run high. They're as afraid of us as we are of them. They've been trained to expect a violent responce so they use pre-emptive violence.

If you're properly trained in nonviolent responce and de-escalation, it's still no fun but you're mentally prepared for whatever happens.

Bottom line is, Ben-Gvir was directing his police. He allowed them to be violent. There was never any issued of "national security"! Ben-Gvir whipped up his police with defending nationalism.

Although I agree that the flotilla is largely symbolic, there's no earthly reason int'ls should not be going to Gaza.

Yes, that's the point I'm trying to make. Every Israeli - right or left - pro Bibi or anti Bibi must now take responsibility for the pariah country it's become. The nation-state of Israel - as a whole - needs to be punished by the world. And if you're anti Bibi? Too bad - you take your part in the collective responsibility for the deaths of 70,000 Gazans and the atrocities by illegal West Bank settlers. The whole country and everyone in it must pay a price.
