Biden Criticizes Trump on ‘The View,’ Calling Him a 'Loser' with No 'Redeeming Value'
How interesting. In a thread dedicated to Joe Biden, literally EVERY comment has been directed at Trump. Either Biden is that inconsequential, or Trump is that fascinating. -

What's it =really= like: To be DEEPLY in love with a bar girl? Do you know?
Dear Folks, I have read many stories here on the Farang Pub, stories about bar girls. However, not many of the stories or accounts which I have read truly capture the FEELING of being deeply in love with a bar girl....while she goes out, night after night, with... Random strangers, for money. Most of you probably don't know what this feels like. I know, for sure. I had a love affair with a bar girl, even while she was working in the bar. Knowing her was the most difficult time of my life. And so, perhaps, this might be the reason that I have, during the past 25 years, become completely celibate. I guess you recall William Holden and his love for Suzy Wong. But, my love for my bar girl was NOT fiction.... It was real....and.... It was totally heartbreaking. Most people might not know the COMPLETE TORTURE AND ANGST that Holden was feeling for Suzy Wong, during this movie....but.... I know, for years of experience. For most of you, movies such as The World of Suzy Wong is just pleasant entertainment....but... For me..... It's just about a total eclipse of the heart..... All that I can tell you is that..... My Suzy Wong broke my heart, every day, and day by day.... She broke my spirit, each and every time she was paid, in the bar, to go out with guys that I thought were not as good as I. The only reason I post this Topic is because..... I think that I know a lot more about being broken-hearted over a common bar-girl, than most of you. ============ What ever happened to my bar-girl, the love of my life? I am not sure. I have often thought about calling her mother, just to find out. But, now, I think I would prefer not to know..... Because, I think, her end could not have been good. Also, by now, she must be about 68. And, at the age of 68, considering that bar girls do not age well..... I just would prefer not to know what eventually happened to her. Some people live charmed lives. Bar Girls, in most cases, do not lead charmed lives. They lead very hard lives. Other girls, of course, become debutantes.... The lucky few.... In my view.... There is not much difference between a society debutante and a bar girl in Taiwan, or maybe Thailand..... Not a hair's difference, in fact. Best regards, Gamma Note: It is said that the debutantes are all virgins, and that the bar girls are not virgins. But, I am sure that this cannot be true. -

Your opinion on leasing ? Why isn’t more popular ? It offers some kind of certainty
The OP mentioned that he will probably be renting, hence my post supporting his intention to rent. -

In 2001 I was happy to sit on the beach and read the entirety (except sports) of the news.
Ok, I will change that. According to this response, you actually express yourself worse than the papers you complain about. -

Ever feel like walking naked?: Do you ever feel like walking down the road nude?
I see you strange people at times sitting on your balcony (transparent balcony railing) in the nude. Strange behaviour. Leave the naked stuff for the bedroom, lying next to a beautiful Thai chick. -

Polish Passenger Threatens to Bomb Plane Mid-air on Flight to Bangkok
Statement by Suvarnabhumi Airport Picture courtesy of AOT Mr. Kittiphong Kittikhachorn, Director of Suvarnabhumi Airport, Airports of Thailand Public Company Limited (AOT), stated that on September 26, at 14:18, the Suvarnabhumi Airport Security Centre received a notification from Air Traffic Control that there was a bomb threat on Thai VietJet Air flight VZ961 from Da Nang, Vietnam. The flight had 121 passengers, including one infant, along with six pilots and crew members. Suvarnabhumi Airport (BKK) assessed the situation with the airline and activated the airport’s emergency response plan, Chapter 3, regarding bomb threats. They coordinated with relevant public and private sectors, security personnel, firefighting and rescue teams, as well as the airport’s medical team to immediately handle the situation. Initially, the aircraft was moved to the Isolated Aircraft Parking Position on the east side of the airport. Passengers and crew were immediately evacuated from the aircraft. The passengers were taken to the airport’s eastern firefighting and rescue station. Security officers then conducted body and baggage searches, while the Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) team inspected all luggage and thoroughly checked the aircraft. No suspicious explosive items were found. Therefore, the emergency response plan was canceled at 16:31. Thai VietJet Air then transferred all passengers and crew through the regular inbound passenger process. The incident did not affect airport operations in any way. -- 2024-09-27 -

Man Withdraws Government Cash, Buys Liquor for Celebration, Gets Drunk and Falls into Canal
Picture courtesy of Khaosod. A man who withdrew the government hand out, chose to celebrate by getting drunk and fell into a canal. He was rescued after a search, with relatives, who had prepared for the worst left stunned by his survival. At around 20:30 on September 26, Udon Thani city police and rescue teams received a report of a man falling into an irrigation canal in the Suntorn Satchabun area in Ban Thon, Ban Lueam Subdistrict, Mueang District, Udon Thani Province. The man had not been found when the authorities arrived at the scene. Upon arrival, officials discovered a white-and-black Honda Wave motorcycle, license plate from Nong Bua Lamphu, parked by the canal. They also found the missing man’s shirt, a water bottle, and half a bottle of liquor near the canal bank. Soon after, Mr. Wittawat, 45, a municipal garbage collector from Udon Thani, approached the officers and identified the missing man as his 49-year-old brother, Mr. Thongrit, also known as "Pee Kiew," from Kud Din Ji village in Nong Bua Lamphu Province. Mr. Wittawat explained that his brother had called earlier, saying he was coming to Udon Thani to look for work. After withdrawing 5,000 baht of the 10,000 baht he had, Mr. Thongrit set off on his motorcycle. CCTV footage from the area showed Mr. Thongrit sitting beside the canal next to his motorcycle before stumbling and falling into the water, apparently while drunk and trying to relieve himself. He then disappeared into the canal, which led officials to believe he had been swept away by the current. Divers began searching the canal, but Mr. Thongrit's body was not found, leading to fears that he had drowned. For over an hour, villagers, divers, and officials searched the canal, but their efforts seemed in vain. Then, miraculously, a local resident reported seeing Mr. Thongrit walking out of the canal about 2 kilometres from the accident site, wearing only his underwear. The searchers rushed to help him and found that Mr. Thongrit appeared confused by the crowd of villagers and rescuers, exclaiming, “What’s everyone doing here? I’m not dead. I’m just embarrassed and cold.” The rescuers quickly covered him with a towel. Mr. Thongrit explained that after withdrawing his money, he had bought a bottle of liquor to celebrate with the locals. After drinking, he tried to relieve himself near the canal but accidentally fell in, his intoxication causing him to be swept away by the current. Eventually regaining consciousness, he managed to climb out of the canal on his own. When asked how he managed to survive, Mr. Thongrit replied that he had held tightly to 300 baht in cash while thinking of his late father. He expressed joy at his survival, smiling as his younger brother embraced him. Relatives, His brother jokingly suggested that Mr. Thongrit should quit drinking to avoid future disasters. -- 2024-09-27
