I gave up taping on the phone yeasts ago and use dictation nearly exorcistically. The auto-carrot is absolutely ducking terrible. Half the thyme it changes words into complete nonesense and I don't even notice untell I've already sand it.

The presentation went well..... turned into.... "The prostitution went well"

Sorry, wrong chat..... turned into.... "Sorry, wrong t.wat"

Yes, that can be a bother. It reminds me of an incident on an old phone (not smart, back in 2003) when one of my 3-letter words was changed to "hag", and I was communicating with a lady. I can't remember the original word, but it was extremely embarrassing... however, I persist, but I have to be careful to proofread before sending. It's a lot better than trying to type with fingers that cover at least 3 letters at a time.

I've discovered that Thai dictation is a lot more accurate, and they don't have the same problems as English speakers. My Thai gf always dictates. I think the problem is that English has too many words that sound identical. Some English accents probably work better than others. If I speak a Thai word into the translator (to hear the English translation), it rarely understands what I'm saying, as Thai words need to be spoken very precisely.

Here's a good one to try. Try to dictate the Thai word for salt (table salt). I can't get it, no matter how I try. I gave up trying to ask waitresses for it in Thai as they would never understand me.

It sounds like you really like her and it sounds like she likes you too, so perhaps you're overthinking it a bit? Age difference is not considered as big a deal in Thailand as it is in the West, and m

Yes, you are kidding yourself.

The more appropriate question you should be asking yourself is, "Am I a user"?

If you are and since she obviously is (considering she is "interested" in you though you have nothing to offer her besides money), then use each other to your heart's content.

If you're not a "user", then slowly disengage in a way that will still allow you to go to the coffee shop you enjoy.

I only read one page of this topic before responding. I couldn't take it any more. The number of knuckleheads (the usual suspects, it turns out) telling you she wants "maturity" or "stability", are the same knuckleheads that were "posting in excess" when I was last at this site two years ago. Some people need a life...
