I think you are going loopy. How can you eat the deer in your imagined mansion if you do not shoot them? Oh I forgot, these deer in heaven are the ones you have already shot.

Is it only fish and deer that you so called God made to eat, no chickens, cows, pigs, etc etc.

Nothing wrong with having places to live, or we'll have millions of planets like earth to choose from to visit. Weight gain and the problems from it are a earth body's deal. We'll be given perfect bodies, with no ailments, and can eat what we want without problems. Sounds like heaven to me.

Maybe closer to America before Europeans arrived.

Freer, closer to nature, hunting, tribe, spirit, and responsibility. Always on your toes, because nature was real.

The Great Manitou, was close to seeing life, nature, and spirit as connected.

That part speaks to me

You mentioned all the musical stars you will meet 'up there'. Will Freddie and the rest of them be there? 555

Fun fact:

America was named after an Italian navigator named Amerigo Vespucci.

The Haudenosaunee called it Turtle Island before the Europeans arrived.

I much prefer Turtle Island.

Freddie Mercury? I hope so. Along with all the others. Many I mentioned were believers and others might have been.

I was quoting Lennon in my way.

Yes, the big bang created by God. Not happening out of nothingness. Remember, this isn't about God.

Yeah, let's crack the code before we die.

I'm beginning to realize that the Bible may not be bs.

But rather, completely misinterpreted

What if Genesis is a Physics textbook?

Adam & Eve : Adam = Earth = Atom

Eve is not a woman : Eve is God splitting the atom

Let there be light = Einstein = E=mc squared = energy into matter

= God initiated the Big Bang

Or something like that. Don't quote me on it and don't question me any further.

Theory is still in progress ...

Somebody have to stop drinking lao kao and smoke smack. Or was it magic shrooms?

The tribal festival in Papua this September will conclude my travel bucket list. It will be my 57th country.

It’s not cheap, but you don’t want to skimp because you could get robbed on a discount tour.

Otherwise, GF dreams of Japan. But Thai people only get 15 days max. So we will book 2 stints sandwiched around a Tahiti cruise. I have never been to Okinawa. I have seen the rest of it over five visits.

She’s also never been to Bali, but has watched a lot of documentaries on the dance shows in Ubud. Toss in a side trip to Sumba.

I’ll be 75 by the time all this takes place. Any travel I do after that will just be gravy.

Maybe Brazil again to see my friend who lives there on the girlfriend seeking plan. If I do that, I may as well add on Peru.

Life stuff-wise, a flat stomach and the ability to read Thai, even though AI will and soon make that unnecessary.

I will probably have to settle for a flat-ish stomach.

Even my old guy fitness role model, Bruce Springsteen, has a bit of a gut now.

Years ago, I was supposed to be revising for my final exams, but instead I decided to write my Bucket List.

A list written by a sex starved 20 year old university student had some interesting items, but over the next few years I endeavoured to complete the list.

Some items turned out to be impractical; "writing a play and seeing it performed on stage" required a literary talent that I didn't possess, and I had no talent for the guitar. Some items were surprisingly disappointing; "three in a bed with two hot girls" was frustrating - as being a man I couldn't multitask.

The solo ride across America on a Harley was as cool as I hoped, the Fastnet yacht race was cold, wet and scary, but I could cross it off my list.

In my thirties, marriage, career, a kid, mortgage, paused my quest, but after rediscovering my old bucket list years later, I noticed I only had two items left to complete, and now living in Thailand they were easily ticked off.

So now, nearing the other end of life's journey, I'm thinking about a new bucket list.

This time, there's things I want to do with my Thai wife, countries I want to show her, classic movies to watch together, and maybe have another crack at that threesome 😂

Never was a bucket list type. I do what I want to do and try not to chase the next thing on a list. People seem preoccupied with planning the next adventure while there is more to be enjoyed in everyday life that they fail to grasp. I'll go on trips in the future and probably enjoy them but a list seems so limiting.

Went on a trip to Australia with a couple friends that had a list of things to check off. By day three, I was avoiding them like the plague and I'm sure I came off as a jerk but it was too much to handle. I hadn't seen them in years and they were preoccupied with a checklist. My best memories are mostly just hanging with friends and not worrying about anything and enjoying the moment.

What a beautiful post and very very true

As you get older you need to , enjoy or should I say "accept" the joys of everyday life instead of chasing something like climbing the Andes , ( I have no idea where that is )

In other words he chased goals and turned up every Monday morning for work and didn't have sick days unlike some of you on here !!!!!!!!!!!!

If I were diagnosed with something like life-threatening cancer I would not do chemo and I would not do radiation. I would try some alternative therapies such as water fasting and if that didn't work I would be ready to give up the ghost. I have no interest in staying alive just for the sake of being alive, with no quality of life.

In terms of having done everything I want to do that is definitely not the case. I still have about 40 places on my bucket list in terms of travel, and I doubt I'll get to even 10 of them, but I will certainly try.

Thanks for a good question! Appreciate it.

Study, several professions, reschooled, work, money, sports, experiences, exploring, extended travelling, loved and lost, lost direction, learned, healed, found a new direction, and pushed the limits of what I could do. Most people experience this in one way or another. Some do more, some do less.

Still learning, still progressing, and hopefully I will never stop changing. But as I said, I stopped chasing life for the feeling of being alive. Life is where you are, and it does not need to be extreme in any way.

Boring is the new good.

We have a tendency to romanticise the past. We see the clean beauty, the untouched nature, and the wild life. But honestly, if you know a bit about the past, it was not that glamorous. Daily struggles, internal and external conflicts, little freedom, and what do we really know about those cultures anyway?

Back in Europe we stabbed each other on fields to solve kings’ egos and family problems.

Maybe God gave us this opportunity, and we as a population abused a lot of it. At least for those who believes in the word of god, I believe in nature, as god

Still, we have less war, less illness, and we live longer than most people before us. No matter what modern life throws at us, much of it still comes down to our choices. So we have to embrace today for what it is. It is not perfect, but for most of us, it does not get much better than this.

I meant what the earth was before man screwed it up. Pristine lakes, woods, beaches, rivers, streams, etc. Besides that, if i could pick a time to back in my own life, it would be age 21, knowing what I do now.

Can't argue with you about a pristine clean untouched earth and a environment in harmony. But with my knowledge I got now I would ruined everything by thinking I know everything 🤔😉
