I'm single, drinking once a week is enough and good discipline. Find hobbies, lots to choose from, I wouldn't include bar hopping as hobbies. The guys who drink daily it's just a slow drawn out death

I live near some top class beaches. No pollution, no mafia, no dirty streets.

Patts was crap 20 years ago. Why pretend it's good when it's a dump full of deros, gangsters and hookers.

So that would be Queensland?

Yes, the Gold Coast and Brisbane for a while, although up in far north Queensland, the weather is similar to Thailand.

I will jump in here as this post has prompted me to do so, even though I don't live in Pattaya, but live in Phuket, however I have the same outlook as @scubascuba3 with regards to being single, which I am and have been for most of my years, whether they be here or in two other countries in which I lived, and I've always liked being on my own.

I was married for three years in the UK and realised after the first month that it was a mistake, not because my wife wasn't a good woman, which she was, but because I have never been used to living with anybody and have always taken care of myself, even when I was young and in a "family environment" (which was grim to say the least) so living with somebody was extremely difficult for me.

I did live with a Thai lady here for five years and after we parted ways amicably, I took it upon myself to "unofficially adopt" her daughter and I've looked after her ever since our breakup, and if I was in need of help or sick, then I'm sure she would take care of me, even though we live a few miles apart.

I probably have only been to a couple of bars in the last three or four years as it's not my scene and never has been, but I do prefer restaurants on the occasion on which I wish to dine out, and I got to know the owners so I can take my own wine along, which is pleasing.

To get down to the nitty-gritty: – I prefer being on my own and am perfectly capable of looking after myself unless something befalls me, when I will need help. I spend a lot of the time on the computer and not necessarily on AN and I do meet a friend or two for coffee when they are in town.

As for massage parlours, I know the owners of two of them here and both of them are real massage parlours where I can get a great professional massage, which helps after I'd been many hours on the computer, and also helps after my 40 years of playing football at a good standard, with all of the injuries that brings.

In summary, single life is what suits me and has done since I was a teenager, and I don't see that changing and for the record, I'm happy as I am and hopefully will continue to be like that.

Yes it's great living on your own, and will be much more common in the future, but as we all get older we will need someone about

Living the dream

Traffic, pollution, dirty beaches. Gym and pool 6 days a week.

Oh and loads of Russians, Indians to keep you company in between your laps.

You don't stop, do you... I should have stopped replying to you long ago, as it's obvious you're mentally retarded.

No tourists (including Russians and Indians). A 25m pool, where I've only seen one foreigner in 5 months, usually with a whole swimming lane to myself, to do my 2km swim. A quiet beach (Krating Lai) and my own home gym setup loaded with weights and cardio equipment. No traffic lights or traffic jams. Once you cross the railway line, in this area, you would not know you're near Pattaya. That starts when you cross Sukhumit Road.

Yes, living the dream indeed.

Sounds really boring. Gym and swim 6 days a week. What a waste of time. You only need weights twice a week according to scientific studies. Dorian Yates trained 4 hours a week in his prime.

100k sounds exorbitant.

the average farang monthly allowance for their thai gfs is a lot less than that.

but if the guy is loaded, then that number is meaningless. depends how much the guy is worth.

also, depends on the age difference. if he's 80 and she's 20, yeah she might demand 100K.

the demands can just get bigger and bigger, guys are suckers

Why do you they bother you so much?

Really? Swim once or twice a week, weights 3 x per week, and cardio-only twice a week. Well balanced, covers everything. Works well. Sometimes I go to Sun Fitness gym for variety. Been working out since 1975. I have an Arc Trainer, a Concept 2 Rower, and a SkiErg, and about 300kg of free weights. There's nothing you could teach me about staying in shape - it's my passion, not boring.

What the f***k do you do with your time other than posting garbage on here?

I dislike the pollution and crowded streets more. I prefer quiet beaches, friendly locals. I enjoy Bangkok for 4 days then happy to leave.

But if you love Pattaya then power to you.

Why? Sex is best aged 20 to 40. Kind of boring after 2000 times.

Only so many positions. Only so many types of women.

A lot of guys end up in Pattaya after bad divorces.

Those women are "therapists" ... they keep men sane.

I've enjoyed sex more in my 50s best so far, 40s next, 30s then 20s. Variety is the spice of life, one girlfriend or wife very boring

If your real-life persona is half as bad as your online one, it's hard to believe any woman would touch you with a ten-foot pole, and even the bargirls would refuse to service you.

Which raises the question, do you even have a life outside this forum?

I banged hundreds in 20s and 30s. Not amazing anymore. I enjoy riding a motorbike more now. Each to their own.

Your claim is total nonsense. Guys who have had a lot of sexual partners don't suddenly lose interest in sex and take up knitting.

If hookers bother you so much that you feel compelled to go in every Pattaya thread and crap on everyone and convince everyone to move out, I'm guessing you have some sort of psychological disorder regarding sex and/or women in general.

Show some respect.

Rocky Road has been to 60 provinces.

How many have you and Jensen been to?

I'm guessing less than 6 combined.

Rocky Road probably has the Guinness World Record for provinces visited!

And does anyone want to wager he will visit the remaining 16 provinces before Georgie pulls the plug on his retirement?

You are, of course, correct, oh great and wise one. RR, I suspect, must be a rabbit, as he once boasted on a different thread of seeing more of Thailand in one week than the poster he was responding to could see in a much longer period, which I can't remember. Might have been a lifetime. Wow, that's fast and I simply can't compete. No way, Jose.

I, alas, and my Thai spouse, are turtles. We have done our exploring of Thailand at a leisurely, turtle's pace. Indeed, on one of our four visits to Chiang Mai, we went by train. It was faster than a turtle, but not by much, We enjoyed the train ride, though, and liked the slow pace.

In hindsight, we should not have visited CM four times. What were we thinking? It must have severely cut down on the count of other provinces we could have visited, instead. Had we not visited so many times, we might be a little closer to RR's province count. But, again, we enjoyed immensely each of the visits--and everything we saw in the greater CM area each time.

I know we always looked forward to stopping in Lampang, on our three driving trips to CM, and visiting each time a favorite large pottery store we discovered on one of our trips, to stock up on treasures. I have a photo of us taking a buggy ride around Lampang--oh, dear, that was slow-paced, too! We are cursed to be turtles rather than rabbits.

Hang on. One thing that was quite fast was our speedboat ride to Koh Lipe, which we enjoyed visiting. There have been other fast boat rides to other islands, as well as car ferries at a slower speed to one or two other islands. At our slow pace, we have only visited about a dozen or so of Thailand's islands, but we have been to some more than once--again, what were we thinking?

One thing I don't regret is a wonderful driving trip we took south from Pattaya during covid. Again, being turtles, we took our time working our way south, stopping at anything we liked. One stop was at a beautiful resort that had just opened. Since it was covid, there were only a handful of other visitors. They upgraded our room to one where you could open the terrace door and jump right in the huge pool--which we mostly had to ourselves. Since the restaurant was closed, they brought our breakfast to our room each morning.

We enjoyed stopping at a number of places on that long trip, including Phuket, and taking boat rides, with snorkeling, to spectacular spots with very few tourists. It was all heavenly, but again, frightfully slow, now that I look back.

On a second trip south we were fast and slow. We took a plane to Hat Yai--fast--and then hired a driver wit a van--slow--to take us around to various things to see during our trip. The highlight for me was our early morning visit to the Sea of Mist Skywalk mountain attraction. Slow-going (not again!) up the mountain, with a lot of turns, but well-worth it--the scenery was breathtaking.

I confess I have not counted the number of provinces we have visited. I know we visited Trat province, where my spouse was born, so that's one. We live in Chonburi, two, and does Bangkok count? We have a condo there. I'm pretty sure the total's more than your 6, but I fear we will likely never catch RR, being turtles, not rabbits.

I very much doubt that. Even the few (if any) you did, each and every one of them would most likely have been paid for.

I remember you saying, as Harrisfan, that it wasn't normal when I said I've been with about 100 women in my life, that most only have 3-5, but now you've banged hundreds in just your 20's to 30's? Guess you forgot what you said.

One of his many disorders. His tiny member had probably stopped working years ago; now he takes his frustrations out on guys living the dream and still capable.

There's no way you could have a life half as good as anyone else on this forum. You're starting from zero as you don't have one. Cheers!
