I like this video.

He is ridiculing most modern Hip Hop and comparing it to a classic by Otis Redding.

Many people have very poor taste in music and don't care about the lyrics and are not able to discern music which is toxic to their souls.

I agree with some of what you've written but Bob Dylan has such a large catalog it's hard to pigeonhole his music. A lot is political, but he has many songs about relationships, love , religion and social situations. I have all of his albums, even though I look at him as more of a poet than a musician. Folk is a favorite genre, and his voice notwithstanding, he's not so bad.

Yep, if you want to poison a generation best to mix the poison in with some other stuff - otherwise no one will bite

A lot of it, along with Rap, is degrading and profane, but some is daily life happenings, racism, and politics. I'm not into those genres at all, but hearing them living in and around major cities it's hard to avoid,

Rapper Chris Webby tackles politics in some of his songs.

He's cursing out one politician after another.

There's two called Common and Logic who supposedly have decent overtones.

Some use masks to sell, to confuse or as a joke, but he supposedly was born again Christian. Can't know all of what an artist is thinking, as many do these things, like Black Sabbath did. Some of his albums were religious in nature.

Love Neil Young and actually thought he was at his best with Crazy Horse. Have every CD and old album of his still today.

Not many better with harmonies as CSN & Y were. Always liked Neil Young's Harvest Moon, including a good cover by The Brother's Comatose and AJ Lee...................https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ml22cp4ojHg

Someone above mentioned Rihanna.... Dug up lyrics of her "smash hit" Work... It really is a work of a genius (sarcasm off)

Work, work, work, work, work, work
He said me haffi work, work, work, work, work, work
He see me do mi dirt, dirt, dirt, dirt, dirt, dirt
So me put in work, work, work, work, work, work
When you ah gon' learn, learn, learn, learn, learn?
Me nuh care if him hurt, hurt, hurt, hurt, hurting

Dry, me ah desert him
No time to have you lurking
Him ah go act like he nuh like it
You know I dealt with you the nicest
Nuh body touch me you nuh righteous
Nuh badda, text me in a crisis
I believed all of your dreams, adoration
You took my heart and my keys and my patience
You took my heart on my sleeve for decoration
You mistaken my love I brought for you for foundation
All that I wanted from you was to give me
Something that I never had
Something that you've never seen
Something that you've never been, mm
But I wake up and act like nothing's wrong

Just get ready fi work, work, work, work, work, work
He said me haffi work, work, work, work, work, work
He see me do mi dirt, dirt, dirt, dirt, dirt, dirt
So me put in work, work, work, work, work, work
Na, na, na, na, na, na
When you ah gon' learn, learn, learn, learn, learn, learn?
Before the tables turn, turn, turn, turn, turn, turn

Beg you something, please
Baby don't you leave
Don't leave me stuck here in the streets, uh huh
If I get another chance to
I will never, no never neglect you
I mean who am I to hold your past against you?
I just hope that it gets to you
I hope that you see this through
I hope that you see this true
What can I say?
Please recognize I'm tryin', babe

I haffi work, work, work, work, work, work
He said me haffi work, work, work, work, work, work
He see me do mi dirt, dirt, dirt, dirt, dirt, dirt
So me put in work, work, work, work, work, work
When you ah gon' learn, learn, learn, learn, learn
Me nuh care if him hurt, hurt, hurt, hurt, hurting

Yeah, okay
You need to get done, done, done, done at work, come over
We just need to slow the motion
Don't give that away to no one
Long distance, I need you
When I see potential I just gotta see it through
If you had a twin, I would still choose you
I don't wanna rush into it, if it's too soon
But I know you need to get done, done, done, done
If you come over
Sorry if I'm way less friendly
I got niggas tryna end me, oh, yeah
I spilled all my emotions tonight, I'm sorry
Rollin', rollin', rollin', rollin', rollin'
How many more shots until you're rollin'?
We just need a face to face
You could pick the time and the place
You spent some time away
Now you need to forward

And give me all the work, work, work, work, work, work
He said me haffi work, work, work, work, work, work
He see me do mi dirt, dirt, dirt, dirt, dirt, dirt
So me put in work, work, work, work, work, work
When you ah gon' learn, learn, learn, learn, learn
Me nuh care if him hurt, hurt, hurt, hurt, hurting

Mm
Mm
Work, work, work, work, work, work

Leonard Cohen
Tuneless weirdo with Rothschild links and a dark agenda https://www.youtube.com/@wyattstagg1783/videos

I never really got into Leonard Cohen or paid too much attention to his lyrics, but it seems he is pushing negativity and doom and gloom in some of his songs.

He really believes, according to an interview in this video, that the future will be so bleak that it will make Stalin look like Disneyland, as described in his song "The Future".

He is also predicting they will kill fetuses? I'm not really on board with this kind of doom and gloom fear-mongering about the future. It's rather dark music that I would prefer to avoid. Maybe he considers himself some kind of prophet that can foretell the future, but I don't. I think he's delusional.

Give me back the Berlin wall
Give me Stalin and St. Paul
I've seen the future, brother
It is murder

Destroy another fetus now
We don't like children anyhow
I've seen the future, baby
It is murder

It's a jewish thing - some (many?) jews believe that there will be another world war with the j's against the rest of the world and their god (satan?) will help them win - then non jews all become their slaves.
Cohen is Rothschild linked so maybe he knows something we don't.

There's a section in the vid where Chabad types tell Netanyahoo to hurry up and bring it (the war against jews) about

Linked again for the Cohen curious

Bob Dylan , an Over rated BAND?

So many posters saying which bands they LIKE, not answering the OP.

I think Black Dyke Mills was way over rated.Named after an African lesbian, 5-5-5

Only had one hit called Thigummybob, written and produced by Sir Paul.

Bob Dylan and The Band are inextricably intertwined in music history. The Band (Robbie Robertson, Rick Danko, Levon Helm, Garth Hudson, and Richard Manuel) started as Dylan's backing group during his controversial 1965–1966 "electric" tours and later lived and recorded with him in Woodstock, New York, to create the legendary Basement Tapes.

REO Speedwagon, ELP. Aerosmith, Jethro Tull, Talking heads, Phil Collins, The Who, Genesis, Yes, Pink Floyd, ? Must be a typo, as they're all excellent bands. The others I understand, although Como, Marley and Fisher were good at what they did. Heavy Metal has a lot of excellent talented musicians and songs. Death and Gothic I agree. Wasted talent when they can play but growl singing.

It is far easier to note the musicians who had some substance. Context and the era are important. Johnny Rotten illustrates this. He was not a particularly accomplished musician, nor given to the "idol" image, but time has shown that he is one of the most stand up honourable and independent musicians of his era. A man who was anti drug, more inherently decent and ethically straight than his detractors, he cut a unique line in the music industry. He called out Jimmy Savile at a time when powerful people were protecting him, and Johnny paid for it. Eminem is like that too. A man with a focused, disciplined work ethic, and like Johnny a very strong family man who is more moral than his establishment detractoirs ever were.

Elton John can be slagged off as a wobbly old bloated man in a toupee, but in his day he put on shows that entertained like no one else. He wrote songs with Bernie Taupin that are standards and hold up today. In their time, Irving Berlin and Sammy Cahn blew everyone out of the water and were leaders in modern music, but few born in the past 25 years knows who they are. People make fun of Neil Diamond, yet Sweet Caroline is a staple of football matches in the UK. James Last and Andre Rieu came off as hokey and the entertainers for geriatrics, yet their fans were immense and fiercely loyal. Some dismiss the KPop kings BTS as fake or fluff, yet they command tens of millions of devotees who would die for them. They are tight and near perfect in every performance. The Ramones look like dimwitted clowns today, but in their era, they were potent and unique. Same for the Beastie Boys. And so it goes. Every period will have its great ones until they are forgotten. How many people today are humming tunes from the 1500's?

Listed as a solo artist but always had a band. A lot are known as singer songwriters but are listed here, so it's okay to have them included.

Would be a good idea to change your headline then, so the bands vs solos would not be here.

You will like this. My favourite song of all time is God Only Knows.

They all devil puppets.

No one is forcing you to listen to the most popular bands, which are mostly all pushed on to the masses by the elites, often for shady agendas.

You can seek out lesser known musicians. This is a good song I recently discovered by The Pearlfishers.

True, he did pay for some sites and admitted it and agreed to a plea deal. He wrote about it extensively in his book and although I like to gripe about celebrities Townsend seems to have cleaned up his act.
