Perils of using windscreen shade.

Featured Replies

Because I have to leave the second car outside in the sun I bought a windscreen sun deflector, the type that has two flaps that tuck either side into the front doors.

I found out the hard way that after the heavy rain the other night, that those flaps allow water to enter the car. This caused the carpets on both sides to get saturated.

Now have both doors open and a fan blowing to try and dry out the interior and getvrid of the musty smell.

Those sun deflectors should be sold with a warning.

I find the internal ones are too difficult to install, they tend to fall over, but after the mishap with the exterior one I have no choice.

Anchor the internal ones with the visors and behind the rear view mirror.
