Looking For Getaways 2-3 Hrs From Bangkok

Featured Replies

I'm looking to go away for a few days, in the past we've gone to Muak Lek in Saraburi, not that far from Kao Yai. There's several waterfalls and lots of nature. Because it difficult to access without a car, the main visitors are Thais. So the resorts are busy on the weekends, but dead quiet thru the week.

I'm looking for somewhere similar to visit, maybe Kanchanaburi or Prachuap. I think there is a huge dam in Kanchanaburi. We've got dogs, so the accommodation can't be too fancy, something under 1,000B per night.

Does anyone have suggestions?

Thanks!

I've heard that there's lots of waterfalls in Prachinburi. Has anyone ever been there?
