Where Do I Start?

Featured Replies

Hi everyone.

I am 27yrs old and have been teaching Physical Education in a UK Comprehensive School for the past 3 years. I am very interested in teaching in Thailand. I have a B.A in Sport Science and am currently undetaking an M.A in Advanced Education.

The problem is I have no idea how I go about the whole procedure.

Would it be possilbe for me to teach P.E in Thailand?

What kind of school would be best?

Do I need to do one of these TEFL courses even though I am looking to teach PE?

Thanks for your time.

Any information would be much appreciated.

I may be wrong, but the only teaching I think you can do here would be English. The teaching of PE would be done by Thai teacher. Again its something you should check. I think peaceblondie is a teacher as well as a moderator, maybe you could PM him. Good luck :o

I work at a bilingual school and we have foreign PE teachers. They teach with a Thai Teacher. You don't need a TEFL. If you want more information about our school, PM me.

I suggest the opening poster contact Scott by PM (private message) rather than me, since Scott knows more. I have heard of one farang teaching PE, but it's a big exception in the Thai schools. What about international schools?

International Schools have foreign PE teachers.
