Aussie Faces Murder Charges in Pattaya

What is the reason for this sarcasm?

I merely passed on information that I had heard, and furthermore mentioned the source of this information, which should make it clear to anyone that I make no claim as to its veracity.

Do I now have to justify my acquaintances to you?

I stay away from Patts. It attracts crims daily.

Some women who have been working in Pattaya for a longer time told me that they avoided the sick Australian because he was known for choking girls during sex.

17-year-old Tunchanok knew nothing about this when she trustingly accompanied him to his room.

Maybe something went very wrong and it cost her her life.

However, I hope he gets the death penalty for it and has to suffer for years in a Thai prison beforehand, because once the other inmates find out what he is in prison for, he will beg for his execution every single day.

17 years old, just a kid, horrific, but at least her murderer has to face justice in court.

Unfortunately, in times like these, far too many child murderers get away unpunished.

That actually makes the most sense so far. Also if she was underage she wouldn't be able to work out of a bar easily so not have access to their shared communal knowledge of dodgy punters. All the speculation pretty much revolves around his hastily contrived excuses re extortion, fight over the money etc.

They did not read the story then made up a theory without evidence. Explains why we have such bad politicians.

it's been this way forever...half these guys dont read anything but the headline.

Might be a good decision. A pal of mine was killed and dismembered into 13 pieces 3 years ago.

However, you did not answer my questions.

Ah, never mind.

Boy, that change in tourist visas to 30 days maximum sure is delivering the results!! 😏

Yes. Absolutely. This is ASEANNOW

Hopefully the Aussie murderer can scrape together some money to pay the parents, it's likely they were relying on the daughters income

It’s kind of gross that you said this and worry about that. Have you looked at her “parents” ? It is really only her Father … who looks like he could be mid-30s and if he needs money so badly, he looks to be in good shape. We have a lot of gay expats, he could dance in a bar, get a boyfriend, ditch the old Thai lady he is mooching off of in the photo. Then he could have sent money to his daughter and she wouldn’t be dead right now!! I highly doubt the story that she just arrived the other day, that is one of those lies that all Thais know to say.

Was she out to rob him and pulled a knife on him and he responded physically (hit her head on something hard maybe?) and she died and he panicked. I posted early on in this thread he seems a few snags short of the barbie. Questions need to be considered by the jump to conclusions death penalty lot on here. Why was a 17 year old going back to a room with him at 2 in the morning? Where did they meet? Do you believe the innocent girl line? He killed her, yes, but are we being told the whole story.

Especially important to discuss this here on the forum. Maybe one theory will even be right in the end. Everything is wrong from start to finish, and there is only one person to blame.

Or they could get off their lazy asses and get jobs. P imping out an underage daughter should put them in the cell along with Charly Gordon.

Has this been implemented yet?

What I like about this forum is the hyperphantasia or vivid imagination of some of the members here. We have a story of a 17 year old girl murdered by an Australian and her body found in a suitcase. Then we are advised by jacko that her body had been dismembered.Next thing the body has been cooked and the murderer will have eaten most of it. Give me a break can we just stick to the facts please !!

I never said anything of the sort.... stop making things up. Follow your own advice.

Normal for the children especially the girls to send money home, but i agree the men are lazy here, don't try hard enough to find work, the father will have to now

Do they actually send money home? She was no A grader so if she was lucky she may get a few one night stands each week. Factor in the cost of living in Pattaya and she would be battling to break even every month. I was attacked by a bar girl many years ago, luckily I grabbed her arm and she dropped the knife. I thought I may've broken her arm but that aside I certainly didn't assault her or even think of killing her. To me the accuseds account of the matter is made up, surely he could have disarmed the girl without killing her.

At least 1000 baht 4+ times a day, one girl on Pattaya beach road used to make easy 10,000+ a day years ago

There was that Canadian Harris Black, used to take money out of their purse when they were in the shower then pay them with it

As I've always said and sadly I'm hated by a few here for saying it, but the only bad thing about Thailand, the worst thing, are some of the foreigners.

He is a creppy Mofo.

I had a medical episode back around 2014, He showed up to the ICU room and start chatting... took a couple of pics of me and left.

Fecks me how he was allowed in as he definately was not family or friend.

There's no security for wards, even op theatre's, can walk straight it

The roads and visas are bad too. The tap water is undrinkable.

The only complaint, the only whinge, whine or moan you'll ever hear from me about Thailand, are the foreigners.

I Love Thailand for what it is, what it has to offer.

It's a little rough around the edges, like myself, that suits me fine.

Even sending 500 baht / 1000 baht home helps in rural thailand, especially if mum and dad are alcoholics and lazy.

Thai family life is strange, i've seen kids that were abandoned by their fathers at a young absolutely adore him when met 20 years later without contact, perculiar ( but normal here! ).

Yeah they respect their deadbeat dads.

Yes, very different.

In Australia, the mother would poison the kids mind, they would brain wash the kids to hate their father.

Thought it was strange when media interviewed dad. Sitting on a woven mat on the sidewalk, shirtless, stepmother looking more like HIS mother.... his story is that his daughter came to Pattaya in the middle of June "for a vacation" with some friends. Smells like BS to me. What kind of father would let his little girl do that?

Sounds more like "girl, get your ass out and make me some money, I'm running out of cigs and Hong Thong!" And given her appearance it had been going on for a while. Also, if she was working in a bar as an underage person, the bar will hopefully face the wrath of law enforcement. As well as the bar that employed the dirtbag killer. I think the ripples of this case could eventually spread far and wide.

My lawyer friend supports her Isaan family, son, mother, father, 2 brothers, buffalo. I've told her the father and brothers should be looking for work, they prefer drink, one's just gone to jail for a brief respite to the family

I know I'm as married to an Isaan lady and I'm staying at her mothers house in Korat now which has been vacant for the past 25 years. My wife has decided to restore it that's why l'm living here now but when it's completed I'm out of here. Back to the bar girls, how many actually have a full book? The A graders might but the average Pattaya bar girl isn't an A grader and would be battling to cover her monthly expenses. The over supply of bar girls in Pattaya and the down turn of tourist makes their lives much more difficult.

May I say your lawyer friend is a spend thrift with a sense of humour

Photos reveal room where Australian man allegedly murdered Thai teenager

Photos obtained by the ABC show Ms Tunchanok's unnamed friend inside Mr Carman's cluttered hotel room the day after she went missing.

This enforces the point, even an educated person such as your friend thinks it's ok to support a dysfunctional lazy family, doesn't matter what you tell them, it's deeply engrained.

Have you been out an about asking these random women for their opinions on the guy in the past few days ?

One need not be out and about on Pattaya's Beach Road to hear all sorts of things about this heinous case.

I live in Bangkok. My Thai staff is following this story closely, as all manner of "facts" have appeared in various online Forums. Half of my staff is female, and they are young. Even if none of them has ever engaged in the world of P4P, this crime resonates with them because the victim is kind of their peer group, even if a decade younger. What is fact and what is fiction---or more importantly what is widely believed as fact---is difficult to determine. What is absolute fact is that this crime has captured the attention of people across the country, especially young females.

Anyone who has regular contact with Thai people is going to hear much about this case. That @Somjot has heard things and posted what he heard is common for people who work among Thai people, though perhaps not so common for folks isolated in the foreigner community.

While over time the real facts will come out, the sad reality is that a very young Thai female, who doesn't seem to have had the best life even before last week, had her short life end horribly. That justice will probably be served can never make up for what she suffered.

I'm missing something here, where does it say about either of them working in a bar.
