Hi chaps,

I've recently aquired a couple of visas for the Mrs. and my Son (cheers scouse!), they will be flying back with me mid September, and although there's no regulations saying they need return tickets to enter, it could cause problems upon arrival.

My question really involves around whether any posters have similar experiences or know of anyone refused entry on these grounds?

I can't seem to find flights for less than 30,000B return and although I'll pay if I have to, it seems extortionate (especially for a 3 year old, but thats another rant).

Any help much appreciated.

Sorted. Thanks for all the help guys.

Just in case anyone needs similar help in the future, the answer is you don't need a return ticket. HOWEVER, the airline you fly with might be problematic because they can be fined £2000 per passenger if they don't have the proper documentation. Proper docs. does not include needing a return ticket but they might act otherwise (passport and visa constitutes proper documentation). Similarly, immigration in the UK might ask a few more questions than normal but this is routine and as long as the answers check out, you're fine.
